If your fuel runs out there is no O² anymore, cause ventilators don't work.

there might be a way, but it would involve math i beleve. There is no timer on how long O² last. Always thought if your not around just plants it don't consume O².

any way to reduce, or at least calculate how much oxygen I have left (or rather, how much time I have left before my plants all die)? My O2 was much lower than I expected after leaving for a few hours

So I added solar panels and re-purposed it for maximum hydroponic bays.

this will not spawn in RE 1.9. I had to replace the solar with new small panels and remove the caps to get it out of the red.

So basicaly a Starter CV that is upgradfable to biger thrusters and better components that fits in the back of the Helios. Interesting is will see what i can do :-).

I'm currently using the ASV module as a pre-Helios capital vessel (it's a standard size module with limited expansion and bay space). You're probably familiar with it: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2482188616

It would be nice to see more dropship modules that utilize the larger space available, and I can think of no better role than something similar to the ASV. A catch-all CV that starts with lower limits and equipment (but still dropship size), and can be upgraded while using it pre-Helios. After it can serve the role of a primary ship for planetary/system exploration, leaving the Helois parked as a main hub.

I don't think I've seen a dropship with that role, or that expandability. And certainly not as pretty as your creations are. Considering the number of expanded Helois carriers available, it'd be nice to see more dropships.

so, i went in to take a look at each of the Helios modules running on solar, if you use the mobile solar panels, and no solar cap's, you'll be fine.

it does mean there's no reserves for when it's dark, but that's how the current CV solar panels work. they feed the generators directly. but it removes the badblock red from the blueprints once saved/updated

Hi Booyaah. Thank you for the critic. I never thought so far with the O² tanks and the forcefield could be a good version too if it is possible. I am working on a newer version of it, where the core gets a nes place i think, 'cause i made a read exit/entrance to better be able to walk in and out whiel landet on planet. The new version allready got only one midle growplot and the rest with carbon block filled. So it is not so much to fill in and allready finished if you wonna put the reforged Hydroponics in. As i am taking out the accumulators for the old solar version, i should be able to put more O² tanks in.

Why is there only 1 o2 Tank? If you leave this thing out in space for a few days offline in MP, all your crops are guaranteed dead...there should at least be a dozen. Also there should be a forcefield to split the o2 between floors if you don't have that many plots you can run with half air.

I also don't like that the plots are included. If I get off starter world and need to start up a small farm, I might only have 20 grow plots. The existing plots should be replaced with blocks so the user can add plots as they build more.

I'm not a fan of the core placement either. One shot in the rear (right up against a thruster no less) and your ship is out of commission (yes I realize there's a shield, but what if it's docked to the Helios). I would resit the core near the stairs/teleporter area in between the 2 floors if possible.

Yep i changed them in creative to fit the newest version, but i'm still trying to overwrite the existing blueprint with the new version. Basicly its the solar cells and the powerstorages int he model. take out the batterie and change the solar cells to the new models and you should be good. I keep trying to update the existing models here.

I think it actually does make sense, since it reduces the fuel consumption. And now they don't even need capacitors anymore

With the garden module at least, you go power negative with a straight swap out. Just swap the panels for the new ones, pull the capacitors, and it's golden. No fuel usage at all while things grow inside. Fuel only gets used if you use the teleporter.

Yes i will as soon as i got time for it. This week i am in a Hotel and my laptop is not realy build for gaming :-). The problems are the Solar cells and batteries. I Fear i will just eliminate them. They couse too much trouble and without the ability to store the power, i think it makes not so much sense to keep them on the Modules.

Would seem best if the actual blueprint did not include populated hydroponics blocks. Much easier on the commander to more slowly populate the hydroponics blocks after building this module.

well i all our tests the solar panels worked even under the topdeck and docked. If that has changed the we have to consider if we even need or wont solar on CV's anyway. Together with hals the batterie capacity it starts to get not worth at all.

HMMM in my game the solar worked good even docked under the flightdeck. It may have been changed during the update.

The issue I have with this module is that it would have to be undocked 95% of the time to keep it's solar panels functional. As soon as you dock it, it would need to be running on fuel tanks which defeats the purpose of having the panels.

You are probably aware by now but there seams to be a problem with the LCD with the waring signs in the engineering area that is causing an error when you dock.
That is happening with all the modules with the same LCD.
Other than that everything is really nice, i like them a lot, Thank you
