Does this mod work with the Smooth Voxels on a new game?
dRuPpI 24 Mar, 2024 @ 8:42am

I use watermod with Industrial Overhaul and Eat.Sleep.Repeat. and the load order seemed to make a difference for me

Here's my load order as read from the in game list:

Plant & Cook
Earthlike Replacement for Water Mod + Dense Forrests
Industrial Overhaul - WATER MOD COMPATIBILITY (if you have IO you need this too)
Industrial Overhaul and Eat.Drink.Sleep. - (also a compatibility mod)
Industrial Overhaul (the actual mod)
--
Water Mod
--
Text HUD API (I THINK this is a dependency for water mod)

Have a look at your own list and make sure there are no major conflicts, no missing dependants, etc.
Also you can still get ice lakes with these mods on, so don't assume it's not working just because of them. (idk if you're MEANT to still get ice lakes or not but I do, especially at higher elevation/altitude)

Good luck!

@Telion it works for me and I just started using it myself.

To make sure there's no mix up, you don't spawn this planet like you would a custom planet. (I don't think that's what you mean by "spawn" but just in case...)

Also idk about you but my Earthlike starts mostly always land me in the mountains and I often have to travel to find a decent body of water, try flying around in spectator maybe? You can also change that /wradius number up and down so maybe put it up just to confirm it's there? (a radius of 1.3 should be enough to drown the whole planet for the sake of a test?)
Telion 24 Jan, 2023 @ 5:44pm
Hi idk if this mod is dead, its been a while without activity, I cannot seem to get it to work, its still spawning ice on the earthlike planet, whether i spawn it in, or start it through the earth or star system presets. it also spawns the water considerably bellow the surface even after i set it to the number above. Help would be greatly appreciated if anyone knows whats up.

This mod really awesome, but I agreed with removing the red trees. I broke all head now how to do it in mod sources(

I was having trouble getting this mod to replace the vanilla planet. However, I found that if this mod is at the top of the mod list, it works. This may help some other people.
MauseLoch9000 12 Feb, 2022 @ 3:04pm
Can you make it without the red alien trees? They just dont fit there
Det.Nathan Grim 24 Jan, 2022 @ 5:23pm
What size do i make the planet when i spawn it? XD
Alias 12 Jan, 2022 @ 1:49pm
Still working great !
Galvek 25 Nov, 2021 @ 3:23pm
hello, i keep having this issue where i get the same exact earthlike every time, so i started searching for earthlikes compatible with the water mod, but i also use scarce resources, cause i want to make things harder for myself and actually have a reason to go to other planets.
but from my understanding, resource-altering mods break planet replacers completly. is it a workaround or something else to be done?
Jhitereptar 24 Oct, 2021 @ 8:24pm
Is there any chance of any of the other planets being replaced? No one else seems to be doing planet replacement, and I'm terrible at manual placement
DlriumTrgger 23 Oct, 2021 @ 2:21am
is there a preferred ore mod that works with this replacer other than industrial overhaul?
Jhitereptar 7 Oct, 2021 @ 10:56pm
Thank you! Wanted to be sure this wasn't a spawn world in type thing.
HyggeDane  [author] 6 Oct, 2021 @ 2:45pm
Jhiterreptar:
yes. i testet it the other day, and everything should still work

Create a new world, add the mod and launch.
Jhitereptar 6 Oct, 2021 @ 12:38pm
SO does this replace earthlike in solar system?
Drewdus 29 Sep, 2021 @ 7:45am
I'm not seeing this in the planet spawn menu...
HyggeDane  [author] 8 Sep, 2021 @ 7:12am
hi stoked.

thx for the heads up.

its been a while since i played around with it my self so nice you took it upon you. ill see if i can figure out the issue with plants below water.
STOKED 8 Sep, 2021 @ 6:12am
So I've gone ahead and experimented with this and so far, it all works great and as advertised, except there's definitely still grass/plants/trees below the waterline.
STOKED 3 Sep, 2021 @ 8:53pm
Does this mod still work now since the latest updates and DLC?
(i.e. Deep Ores)
IThinkYouShouldShi*YourselfNOW 22 May, 2021 @ 12:15pm
how do you find the planet?
Hegemony_Cricket 8 May, 2021 @ 7:06pm
Nice work, but is it not compatible with the Uranium/Platinum On Planets mod? I'm not seeing either of them.
G3Nuke 6 May, 2021 @ 10:18pm
Is this a generator? Like does it generate a planet based on specified parameters or is it a premade planet. Asking because I was curious if it works with deep ores
HyggeDane  [author] 26 Mar, 2021 @ 6:42am
Barrel Smacker. no. the /wradious is not dynamic. its a static value. so 120 km. planets as allways.

but play around, this is space engineers after all.
DeathSlapper 25 Mar, 2021 @ 7:53pm
will the /wradius 1.02345 work with any size of the planet? if not, what is the optimal size?
Waldherz 1 Mar, 2021 @ 4:02am
Alright, thanks. I love forrests ^^
HyggeDane  [author] 28 Feb, 2021 @ 6:01pm
@WALDHERZ the hight map is the same. i changed the density of trees and changed some voxel rules that's all.

i think it will look strange without the water, but havn't tried
Waldherz 28 Feb, 2021 @ 2:04pm
Does this work fine without the water mod?

Im mainly looking for a much better planet, with dense forrest, some cool locations, cliffs etc.
jagodragon 25 Feb, 2021 @ 5:56am
@Dane I have it uploaded already and listed as friends only. give it a try.
HyggeDane  [author] 25 Feb, 2021 @ 4:57am
@jagodragon

well done. i'd love to try it my self. Don't worry about the upload

jagodragon 24 Feb, 2021 @ 7:02pm
@Dane

I have modified this planet to be compatible with Industrial overhaul and tweaked the wolf spawn rates a little.

The modified version does not require Industrial overhaul to work. If you load it without Industrial overhaul you wind up playing on a planet that has a thin ice layer just under the surface every where and ores are ore dispersed. but it is completely playable that way.

I would like to post it to the work shop so that my friends can join my world. but i do not want to take away from this page in any way. how would you like me to handle this? no matter what you would deserve credit for most of it.
evp143 24 Feb, 2021 @ 7:35am
Dane. Yes i`ve tried and everything go back on :steamhappy: Thank you
jagodragon 22 Feb, 2021 @ 7:54pm
@Dane, Thank you
HyggeDane  [author] 22 Feb, 2021 @ 6:32pm
jagodragon: i suggest extracting the mod to look into the files. if you are new to modding join the official discord. all the modders are there and you can search through the history
jagodragon 22 Feb, 2021 @ 4:24pm
how do i modify this to allow ores from a different mod?

I am currently trying to use the industrial overhaul mod and some of the base required (early game) ores are not spawning. I am hoping i can fix this?
HyggeDane  [author] 21 Feb, 2021 @ 8:51am
evp. have you tried spawning in a new planet?
evp143 21 Feb, 2021 @ 5:36am
Mod was enabled but nothing hapens. Plants and trees continue to appear under water line.
SarahAndrea Royce 17 Feb, 2021 @ 4:57am
Default, but I had a randomized seed. I worked around it by spawning a basic universe, convert the planet and delete those I want to replace. I wanted to place Pertam and a few others anyway. Yor modifications look great :D
HyggeDane  [author] 17 Feb, 2021 @ 4:35am
it should be the same outcome. i just tried it and it worked.
check: /wradius 1.02345
and what was the sice of the planet you spawned?
SarahAndrea Royce 17 Feb, 2021 @ 1:42am
Does it only work as a replacement for the games preset solar system? I tried to spawn an earthlike in a new world and followed your instructions, but there is still an ice layer and I can find the water only by free camera
HyggeDane  [author] 15 Feb, 2021 @ 4:25pm
I'm glad you do. :)
jagodragon 14 Feb, 2021 @ 9:41am
so far i love this planet. Thank you!
Blade Viridian 12 Feb, 2021 @ 2:07pm
Denser Forests are always welcome!
