i tried spawning npcs and all the npcs had wireframes, the logos had missing textures sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo i tried seeing if i had any npc mod that was doing evil and it didnt work so i set aside this mod :(

I did some more testing and the glitch is fixed? (somewhat)

After saving a game, quitting (the server/gmod) and loading the save, npcs don't shoot at an enemy unless it damages them (for testing I used a Left 4 Dead zombie), then they work fine with no issues.

The console error could also be an error on VJ Base's code, so I will try to post my question there.

Well, Unfortunately, Since this glitch is not happening for mine and never happened before, I have no idea how to fix this problem for now. Still, I'll check out the NPC's codes just in case though, Thanks for your reporting!

Also this might be related to my previous comment, but after saving placed npcs, quitting and rejoining the game and loading the save, npcs don't shoot anymore.

Hello, I am getting this error:

I only have VJ Base, Sentry's Military SNPCs, and Left 4 Dead Common Infected SNPCs enabled and the error is still there so I don't think it is a mod compatibility issue. Could you please look into this issue? Thanks!

@lruth0307 What exactly do you imagine "teenage" npcs to be like? Do you mean Civilians that are slightly smaller than the normal citizens or something?

Also, why did you request this under two seperate addons? I think he gets the message when he reads it once

Okay thanks for the reply! However I do have a genuine suggestion for you. Was wondering if maybe you could make female variant for the US soldiers and US Spec Ops. Much like how you did with the desert soldiers.

But em, Just like Smelly said, Because of my lacking coding skills, I can't make or modify the non-human SNPCs like the Combine addons unfortunately.

Why don't you use the shotgun code so that NPCs attack close instead of far away? The VJ Base shotgun has that code

I dunno man, Sentry mainly specializes in human NPCs and the ones you are talking about are all the ones who aren't typical VJ-base humans

I know you might think I’m sound crazy right? But I believe in you. Believe it or not, a lot of the NPCs from that pack are working just fine. Only a select few are broken. Particularly ones that use rocket entity projectiles or special projectiles for some reason. The mortar synth, APC, vort synth, hunter chopper, combine assassin and combine guard are the only ones I noticed needed tweaking. All others work as intended. I understand it sounds like a lot to ask, just figured it was better to ask than not to. Either way thanks for getting back to me! All the best.

Ah well, I never touched Combine SNPCs before, More especially the non-human ones like Hunters and Striders. I really appreciate your suggestion but dunno if I can handle it. xD

I have a little bit of a wild question. Is there any chance that you could maybe fix the SNPCs from this addon? With his permission of course. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2798783125 The original creator has declared it broken after the VJ Base update and isn't planning on fixing it. Reaching out because I know you put a lot of work into your addons and maintain them. Maybe you could tweak it to current VJ Standards?
Will these models be ported as P.M as was the case with other VJ addons?

Seems like you're having an addon crashing problem. Recommend you to check out your subscribed item list and disable some suspicious addons that might can affect the VJBase one by one. Like I said below, Something like Viewmodel changer, Custom NPC/PM Animation changer, Custom Ragdoll modifier could affect the errors.

Do the ragdolls normally spazz out in a circle or is that just me? Doesn't happen with any vanilla NPCs but it's happening with all of my VJ Base NPCs

Seems like you're having an addon crashing, I recommend you to check out your subscribed item list and find some addons which could be affected to the VJ Based SNPCs.
Usually such addons likes Viewmodel changer, Custom NPC/PM Animation changer, Custom Ragdoll modifier could affect the errors.

There is a weapon accuracy selector for my SNPCs.
If you've downloaded my SNPCs for the first time, It'll be set into the 0, which is making everyone a super soldier, Set it to 1 (VJ Base Standard) or 2 (Sentry's SNPCs Standard).

unfortunately the revamp broke your NPCs. all of them now attack you now even if they're supposed to be friendly. I found that turning on the player friendly option in AI stops them from attacking you

Yeah that's why I asked you, I just looked to the changelog, but as there's many npcs in the pack, and, as you said, it would be hard, maybe it'll be better for us to keep using it with regular Vj base.

Smelly's right! Soon after I find some suitable audio resources for Euriopean soldiers, I'll surely make some new Military Pack, but the problem is, finding them is a pain in the ass xD

@thehazardous Pretty sure he's already thought about that several times considering he has a russian and east asian military pack already. The problem would be how much work that is and that good voicelines are hard to come by.
I mean seriously, tell me where you can easily get good polish, french, spanish, arabic, indian, etc. soldier voices that fit the modern day.
Also keep in mind that if there's a bunch of games with voicelines in those languages out there it might be really hard to extract the raw sound files due to file encryption and stuff like that.

since there is models, weapons, and voices, could you make a seperate pack where its global militaries? you can do german, british, french, and others. and hell, even a retro military pack, including east and west german soldiers, soviet soldiers (since you have soviet cops), moldovan soldiers, and so much more. i think that would make a awesome big addition to the Sentryandreas SNPC's pack for 2025
