yes, it is intended to be used in a double wide doorway. Some of the DLC offer houses where this item can be used effectively.

I think i have figured it out. This replaces a doorway doesn't it? I haven't actually got it to work yet but has just clicked with me when looking at the pictures above.

Stu - I'm not sure, but I suppose that is always a possibility. I myself do have all DLC's available, so I can't rule that out. Can you describe what is happening? Is it just that it stays red and won't place, or is there some other strange behavior that is happening? Consider that there also might be something in your structure, on the wall too close, or some other object conflicting with the space you are attempting to place it in. This object is also tagged as "Place Outside Only". I don't know exactly how you're trying to use it, I assume in a normal manner, but from what I've seen around here, some people have done some very creative and wild things!

I have tried to use this but don't seem to be able to. Do i need other DLC to be able to use?

Are you planning to make more variations, such as ones with the white panel siding on the bottom rather than bricks, or perhaps, a bay window with a day bed or seat? Either idea would be fantastic!

There are a few properties in the HGTV DLC that have multiple double-wide doorways next to each other, a perfect place for one of these. Unfortunately, using one of these on some houses eliminates having a back entry/door completely. I can't wait for the Luxury Homes DLC in May! I'm just chompin' at the bit for it.......
