@ZwartGeest Unfortunately, I don't have time to add it yet, the only solution is to enter the mod files and change the model name, e.g. from USA to ENG

if you have the Waking the Tiger dlc enabled
then this dlc replaces my models with those from the dlc. The solution may be when you select the template unit and then select Infrantry model (Cultural generic)

Works for me, but it bugs out the models in research. Kinda breaks my immersion.

Well, this loads and shows the anime models, but it blanks out other things, so I guess I won't be using it. Such a shame, too. I loved these models in Anime History, but with it, they loaded correctly. With this, they conflict with other stuff in the same load set. Oh well.

How about making a Malta anime model? You know there's a mod about this country and Malta was also mentioned in a Paradox dev diary(on April 1 of course),
Well, if there's something making Malta not historical, why not make it more...magical, or maybe, more ANIMATED?
