tried to talk to valve tech support, tried to install some tools to recover deleted files, tried to see if there was a way to get it with steam cloud, see if you could recover old versions, none of that worked

basically what happened is that left 4 dead 2 was updated and had the mod inside the game folder, I never took it out of there and when the game was updated the folder was deleted
