@Pensezforte I just checked and NO it does not stack with God King.

I was wondering if you could try making the Samnites?

Was snooping around for Ancient Civs and stumbled upon quite an interesting Liberty Civ. :D

Is this yneamp compatable, and if not, could you make it yneamp compatable?

The etruscans are incredibly powerful as a wide piety civ. -80% city unhappiness lets them expand or conquer like mad (because really, population unhappiness isn't a problem in the expansion phase), the Hypogeum lets them expand borders quickly and can be built faster than the monument with the piety tree. The Fanu also basically gives you half to a free social policy every 8-10 turns if you have a decent number of cities, and gives saturated cities something to do while you're waiting for tech to arrive. Overall, if these guys have any room to expand they can get out of hand really easily, even if their other cities have a gold penalty.
Drakuun 10 Sep, 2015 @ 1:28pm
Nice idea, but the etruscan league is very rich .. and the roman take from them the art of iron, gold and engineering.
Pensezforte 15 May, 2015 @ 3:36pm
Does the "God-King" pantheon belief also apply to the "weaker version of the palace" that you mentioned?

@TarcisioCM, will this mod eventually be supported by YNAEMP and Ethnic units/RED mods, or will this mod not be updated to support these mods.
Zeppilin 4 Feb, 2015 @ 11:47pm
Love this mod ^.^
Doomed World 23 May, 2014 @ 8:50pm
the etruscans were rich, why there gold penelty
Azor Ahai 16 May, 2014 @ 8:01pm
This civ, in my opinion, really has more negatives than positives.
Tom The Medic 30 Apr, 2014 @ 6:42pm
I'm kinda bummed out, I loved the original Hypogeum. It was a cool building that fit perfectly for the wide culture empire idea. I hope that you can fix the art slot bug and add it back soon.
Shamane De Lion 30 Apr, 2014 @ 3:54am
The local palace provoques same problem as Hypogeum; it traps paintings or artefacts.
Shamane De Lion 28 Apr, 2014 @ 7:52am
Noticed a problem with Hypogeum. The Hypogeum as it is now includes a free art slot, but that item and slot are not visible in the culture window. The problem is that when you get paintings or artefacts for example they can go put themselves in the slot of the Hypogeum. But once there, they can't be moved not a normal culture slot in the culture window (with is a problem if you have Sixtine Chapel or Le Louvre for example). Therefore, even though you can see the painting by clicking on it's icon on the city window, that painting and slot don't show up in the culture window. So i'd suggest either to completely remove the art slot from the Hypogeum or the have the Hypogeum appear with it's own column in the culture window.

Rasenna or Rasna is proper.
Bubblegum  [author] 27 Apr, 2014 @ 6:28am
Etruscans. We call them the Etruscans.
Miath 26 Apr, 2014 @ 9:57pm
Rasenna. They called themselves the Rasenna.
Shamane De Lion 25 Apr, 2014 @ 3:30am
The Unhappiness level works very well now, it does go down a bit, but much less than normal level. That's just great for expansionist play; thank you ! The Hypogeum is awesome as it enables you to have faith very early on; I love it. The Fanu is better than previous attemps; I guess after that it's a matter or not to want to wait for the amount of turns for the reward. All and all, great mod, great work Tarcisio.
Tom The Medic 17 Apr, 2014 @ 3:24pm
Sweet!
Bubblegum  [author] 17 Apr, 2014 @ 3:09pm
LOL haha, it was just some leftover code causing unhappiness, i'm going to upload the new version soon.
Tom The Medic 17 Apr, 2014 @ 2:40pm
Having the same problem as haag and mike, it is impossible to manage the happiness after settling more then 2 cities, but I just have to say, both unique buildings are amazing. I absolutly love this mod, and I hope you can fix it soon
Bubblegum  [author] 9 Apr, 2014 @ 5:20am
Gonna have to ask about it with a few people on the mod community about it then, because I only used the <CityUnhappinessModifier> tag. I guess its hardcoded to increase population unhappiness too.
Shamane De Lion 9 Apr, 2014 @ 1:38am
Had the same problem too, unhapiness level doesn't decrease, it doubles standard rate.
Modrian 6 Apr, 2014 @ 11:38am
2 notes from play. Fanu not particularly useful after 2 builds. More noteably, although unhappiness from # cities reduced, in play, unhappiness from population more than doubled vs standard. If intentional, should be mentioned.
Bubblegum  [author] 5 Apr, 2014 @ 10:44pm
updated to -80% unhappiness, instead of -100%
Shamane De Lion 4 Apr, 2014 @ 12:46pm
And that's why i've said the in the first comment it would have to be 10 times the reward to be worth doing. But the changes you plan seem very good. So thank you for taking time reading and considering suggestions.
Shamane De Lion 4 Apr, 2014 @ 12:41pm
These ajustments seems nice, though i think removing completely unhappiness from building new cities would be OP. I Think removing it completely would go agaisnt the intention of the game concept, but being very low would be a fair compromise, the etruscans didn't built that many cities anyway and it would be closer to historical facts. The way you've now put it, the Fanu would be now more enjoyable to be worth doing (especially early on) and i agree with you not making it too rewarding since it can be done multiple times. The example i gave earlier was comparing it to a world wonder (can't recall the one with marble or stone that gives 100 gold...).
Bubblegum  [author] 4 Apr, 2014 @ 10:37am
@haag_balder Okay, i've made a few changes and will upload the new version soon. The Hypogeum will give 2 culture. The Loose League trait will now completly remove ALL unhappiness from number of cities. And the Fanu will be built faster, and will now give 100 gold pre-renaissance and 50 gold post. I've only tested it with 3 cities, but since i've reduced a lot the increased cost per city (Before it was 45 production per city if i'm not mistaken, but now it's only 10) i think it wont take that much to build. The problem with The Fanu is, if i make the bonus too high and production cost too low it will become REALLY op on the latter eras, when you have your capital pumping out production.
Shamane De Lion 4 Apr, 2014 @ 9:32am
I had to split comment in 2 parts.
Shamane De Lion 4 Apr, 2014 @ 9:32am
But the Etruscans were a civ mostly known for their "Joie de vivre" (happiness level), their rich cultural artefacts (potterys, architecture, wall painting, etc), their commerce, but not really for their religeous influence. Proof, we know next too nothing about it. So i thing you should change the overall benefits to base them on happiness level (ex: each city provides an additional happinness point) culture (Hypogeum stays but provides +2 culture instead) and economy (maybe +1 gold for each port per turn or +1 per trade lane with another +1 for each era; ex: +1 for trade lane at antiquity, +2 classical, +3 medival, etc. Don't take the comments here for harsch criticism though, i think the mod has potential.
Shamane De Lion 4 Apr, 2014 @ 9:31am
I expected alot from this mod, a civilization close to the one in Civ IV from the Rome scenario. But i find the attributes of that civ really uninterresting. First the "Loose league" doesn't seem to work properly; for me who loves having a large civ, everytime i built a new city the unhappiness level would raise drastically, like double the normal number (setting inverted ?). The Hypogeum is nice and works properly; i like. The Fanu is completely useless; not only does it take forever to build, it's gain are negligeable. Multiply the benefits by 10 times and then it would be more usefull.
Gojira71798 27 Mar, 2014 @ 6:30pm
Awesome! I've been waiting for a Estrucan Civ! :D Nice work!

Not really sure I like the UA. I don't think the UA should penalize the player. People don't like india for that reason.

Really interesting twist on the 2 UB idea. Love your work! I look forward to seeing Burgundy if you get it finished.
Bubblegum  [author] 18 Mar, 2014 @ 11:34am
@pafeor I was doing Burgundy since I finished parthia, but lost interest. Perhaps I can finish it now... It's almost done actually, just missing their unique building.
