no oxygen on Orbitus

I really like Pulvis...but its terrain likes to form really unnatural straight lines on the edge of biomes.

Orbitus hase uranium and platinom, it says all ores just want to make shure... sorry.

I should add, it's not so much asking for you to teach me, so much as dropping a theory your way and see what you think about its plausibility.

I've a couple questions about how you set the custom asteroid caves... Would you mind me chatting with you occasionally over Discord? My handle is Blaquestone #6561

Awesome. Thanks! Full crediting and links will be there, of course. Content creators like you make this game. :)

@Blaquestone Sure, go ahead

That's a pretty neat trick using asteroids, and the first planet I've seen to use it. :) I'm not the most workshop-familiar though lol. That said, I've been putting together a combination mod that adds More Stone Types (Deep Ores) and Visentinel's Diesel mod to a collection of custom planets... Would you mind me adding this, and your Vel planet/moon to the list? They'll really round out my deserty/barren planets, and have the general difficulty I'm trying to maintain for a good survival setup.

@kilotick At the moment there is no actual way of generating underground areas. The caves you see on Pulvis are some of the default asteroids that are spawned on the surface the same way boulders are. They have entrances and space above the surface, albeit they vary depending on the height of the terrain. In the future I may replace them with custom asteroids in order to make for larger caves.

I just added your planets to my world to test, Very nice work! :selike:
I really like the variety in gravity and environments. I was especially interested in Pulvis.

I think I understand how the cave gen works, spawning modified asteroids below the surface.

However, the bug I am currently having is that these asteroids are spawning half way in the ground (similar to surface boulders) and where the caves do go underground, the planet still generates voxel material in it, creating what are basically 'filled' caves.

Will this get fixed eventually or is is a restriction of the SE engine?

Thanks for the awesome planets, I hope to see more!

So after 2 days of testing I have noticed that NPC's can be used on this planet, but do have a hard time flying forward (even I do as well with modified thrusters). Rovers also seem to have a hard time as they are slammed hard by the gravity if you go over a dune even with reasonable speed.

I thought finding ores was going to be a hassle, but they are very abundant (just watch for spiders of course)
[82DK] wyomingwolf 25 Feb, 2021 @ 4:43pm
I shall look forward to testing it (prefer to make underground bases so this might be fun)

@[82Dk] wyomingwolf I have not tested this planet with any other mods, however the gravity will affect NPC ships if they don't have enough thrust to withstand 1.5g. As for the high atmospheric density, it should make atmospheric thrusters more efficient.
[82DK] wyomingwolf 25 Feb, 2021 @ 3:09pm
Will that density/gravity affect NPC mod harshly? Looks really good none the less (spiders.. Ryu isn't all over this yet surprisingly)
Infinite  [author] 25 Feb, 2021 @ 1:26pm
@8vantor8 Atmosphere density is 5x that of Earthlike's

nice planet, but how is the air?
