Now comes with the epic AI-Enabled mod by jTurp and Chipstix213
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2596208372
Bots will be used in the last parts of the scenario!
Other changes:
Added a new guided missile training for fighters
Added a mobile artillery unit for ground training
Added some faster travel methods to the world for groups
fixed some errors in the first and third part of the scenario
updated the bases with new blocks
added the new hand weaponry and ammo accordingly
updated the final conflict simulation to incorporate bots and new damage models
You press the button on the port side of the ship and wait a few moments for it to dock the ship to the station. From there you explore the station, read the panels and get your tasks and accompanying GPS coordinates. It is purposly not built with the scenario scripter as to last longer and be less dependent on fixing after every update - but that means it's all a bit on the low-tech side of things :)
Got the scenario to work, but in starting I spawn planetside instead of the ship. Respawning and selecting Journey, I found the start button and was able to dock, get to the med room and activate the Medical Room, Now performing the first engineering task.
Understand. I'll play with it a bit and let you know if successful Thanks!
I'm really sorry, you got me stumped there. I don't know how to repdroduce or fix that behaviour you're describing :-(
All I can say is that you should be able to join a faction during the respawn screen selection and that should enable you to spawn at "Your journey starts here" (btw. you then need to press the big button and after a few seconds the ship docks itself and releases the airlock)
And I got absolutely no idea why it does not happen for you.
Forgot to mention that at the respawn panel there was a button marked Back To Faction that was grayed out and not selectable.
As the fighter was ion propelled and most of the controls were denied once it go to atmosphere I could do little to control it so at 2500m I exited and used the jetpack to land. I had no indication where my body would have been or the base where I initially spawned. Respawned again with Space Suit with fewer options. Activated Creative tools and tried teleporting to the base but that function was not working as it did with other scenarios and I died without respawning.
I am playing off-line.
I did as you instructed and I still start the game on the base with the Medical Room disabled.
As an experiment, I respawned and was given a choice of Your Journey Starts Here or Space Suit. I selected the former and ended up on a ship. I waited for a few minutes for something to happen but the ship never docked. I noted my body was 90km away and that there was a station 300+m away so I ground out the window and jetted over to the station. I found several small fighters and took one to the planet where my old body appeared to be. Before I got halfway the body timed out and disappeared.
That's strange. I just downloaded the world fresh and joined, had no problem finding the spawnpoint.
Please do the following steps for me:
>>delete your local save
>>unsubscribe and resubscribe
>>start a fresh version of the world
>>you should enter the faction selection screen - join the Imperial Fleet one
>>you should now have the spawnpoint "Your journey starts here"
Tell me what works and what not
The game displays me as the leader of the faction and there is no choice to join it befroe I start the game. I am playing single player.
I always run "bullet trails" and "sneaky sounds -quiet tools". Assuming you use vanilla weapons, "AQD Combat Balance" makes armor more useful and I like the combat balance it gives when I dont have a shields mods. Ill check back in after I play it.
The world settings are pretty much already tailored to the world itself! It would probably not hurt to increase speed of the tools, though.
As for mods... that's a tough one. The world will probably not handle any random encounters well as they do neither fit into the lore of the world nor with the already placed structures. pirate spawns for example could accidentally drain ammo you'd need for the trainings or even damage training facilities.
QOL features like Autofill Bottles and immersion additions like no thruster suits could actually add some value. One could also try out rifle mods, but I haven't used any in some time now so I am not up to date on those!
But let me reverse the question: when you have had the chance to play the scenario - tell me what you think would benefit future worlds!
Did you join the faction? before spawning?
Thread CPU load is 225%, and Server thread CPU load is 210-220%
i thought my AMD Ryzen 5 3400G 3.7GHz is powerful...
What is your sim speed in that world? and when did it crash specifically?
Well, I am sorry to hear that. My worlds are indeed quite.. packed. But I and all testers hat 1.0 Sim speed during most testing times.
thanks
Yes! There is no actual need to follow the quests. You can simply start up the world and do whatever. You might be breaking some of the missions if you jump in the middle of it but if you just want to explore - go right ahead
Can you also just play this in sandbox mode?
And you know that you have only to thank yourself for that!
