I'd you can probably use the Advanced Bone Tool or the Joint Tool to select the bip_head bone, and scale it down to 0.
I haven't actually downloaded and tested it, but that seems like the logical thing to do; I can't imagine the cigarette being connected to any other bone, and that's how I get rid of parts of a cosmetic I don't want.
Of course, I'm replying to a nearly one year old comment, and I don't even know if you actually care about this anymore, but hey, better late than never I suppose.
