Sykes : I'm really not a good 3D Modeller, I would even say I'm not a 3D modeller at all, I just "tinkered" a little bit with the original model to have something different.

I don't really have the time to fix those issues (not event sure I still have the blender model anymore)

@☣ | K-Anator™ : IIRC, there is a marker to specify where is the center of drill so that you do not use the center of the block.

It is a super useful mod, for me I see only two annoyance.
1 - the bug where the models doesn't show up on loading the game.
2 - it is way to hard to tell how far is the tool working area, not sure if it is possible but having some sort of "guide lines" that you could turn on/off visually, would be perfect.

I mean, I don't think reducing the radius is a good option, welding big ships with lots of small hidden stuff is way to annoying, having a big radius is good for that

@Arbiter I'm going to have to investigate this further because an initial examination of the original welder's FBX provided by the SE mod SDK doesn't appear to contain any such marker.

It also doesn't really make sense from a game dev standpoint either. It'd make more sense to code a tool's effect radius as an offset of their origin than an empty in the model.

Hello, I'm glad to see this mod revived, but unfortunately it seems the welder and drill have a huge amount of mistakes, perhaps from the update but it could also be an oversight.

The grinder is fine, but on the drill and welder, the 3 interactable ports are rotated 90 degrees off from what the actual ports are, making them very difficult to interact with but not impossible. Furthermore, one of the button panels on the sides are misplaced, and seemed to have been left at a default 0,0,0 origin location rather than where the physical button should exist.

The "Build Info" mod is great for examining this quickly as it highlights the hitboxes for both the ports and button panels.

I hope this gets fixed soon! I love these mods and glad to see them maintained, but right now the older versions work better

@Bueno : This is a special marker placed in the model. You would need to edit the model directly I'm afraid :(

Really nice models but the tool radius is way too far forward from the actual block, for example the welder cannot weld a block right in front of it as the weld circle is nearly 1 whole block in front. I've tried editing the TwinTools.sbc a few times and I can't seem to find a way to move the area the tool works. Any way to adjust where the tool sensor radius is centred? I can change the size but not where it sits in relation to the model.

Hello, am I the only one who has a visual glitch when using twin grinder? Unless it's on (actively grinding), the discs detatch and stay floating in one place. Turning the grinder on fixes it until it's off again.

You should name the drills
"Na Sing Se"
cause that means "Penetrable Wall"

I've been using it since the oldest Twin Welders and Twin Grinders mods.
However, it was very disappointing that it was an old model and it could not be helped.
I was very pleased when I discovered this mod!

@Kuatol : For the model, I have no idea why sometimes it disapear, generaly grinding then rebuilding the block solve it. (or reloading the world )

The animation problem was solved.
It may have been solved by completely deleting and re-downloading mods, or checking the integrity of the game file.
But the grinder didn't work.

@Kuatol : Just checked Small and Large variant on moving grids. Everything worked as expected. Can you provide more information ? Like a video ?

After the February 22nd update, the grinder is no longer available.
The animation works, but when it stops, it stays in the air.
This is the same even if it is introduced alone.
