Don't see anything unusual I could quickly fix
They look perfectly ordinary to me, compared to characters I am very sure that work.
Can't say, would have to test it but I'm unlikely to get into kenshi fully in the nearby future.
Looking at their files alone, they should work in my opinion.
I would assume they would, like animals, be unable to do much else but fight and carry however.
I've still updated the mod to the most recent version of genesis.
This version is very likely outdated, as I only come around to update it every now and then.
I'm now just trying to do the same to a proper named BM-30 from the same faction. Not sure I will manage that but nothing to lose as I got 12/13 that I kidnapped so far.
The only difference between the ones I've already recruited & the ones I can't are their faction. All the unrecruitable ones are from Second Empire Exile faction.
I'll play around with them a little to see if I can get them working as I captured a dozen of them lol.
Anyone else having/had this problem?
Should work
I recommend using other mods which probably do a better job

Recruit anyone first, least important. Then genesis since it's the biggest with the most changes so nothing breaks and then this patch since it needs the other two.
Recruit ANYONE v1
Genesis
This mod?
Thanks for the awesome mod ^^
In the FAQ the question of why that is has been asked by multiple people and the mod authors justified the choice in limiting the amount of real estate as a future proofing measure. So that players don't lose houses if they later down when/if they line introduce world state changes.
Being able to recruit anyone does severely fuck with the balance. But that's half the fun. :P
Core idea of being able to recruit anyone, is to allow for easy fodder (starving bandits and the like) turn foes to friends and lastly, recruit those boss ass bitches and really op npcs.
And yeah, I mostly want Genesis for the new content. A lot of the balance and restrictions the mod puts in place. Like offering you LESS houses in many of the areas. Yes. Sure. But why not just increase the cost of the houses? What if I'm playing a Shek? What if I don't want to engage in the base-building?
There's plenty of lore excuses that Genesis makes for giving players fewer options and the recruit Anyone mod for Genesis being nerfed was just an extension of that design mentality.
I respect what you tried to do, but nobody using recruit anyone uses it for balanced gameplay.
They use it for fun.
Adding a bonus cost makes it a hassle.
Nobody uses convience mods to get more of a hassle, it discourages usage.
People can use recruit anyone by balancing it themselves.
It's a tool. Those who want to cheat can cheat, those wanting to create stories can create stories, those wanting to do whatever can do whatever.
Adding an arbitrary price sure maybe works with your idea, but compromises what the actual mod is for meaning you are just breaking the core idea of the mod.
If people use recruit anyone they probably want to have the original function.
Not everyone uses genesis to make the game harder anyway, honestly I doubt even most people do. Most just want more content.
Which is why people didn't like the patch adding a cost, it's just not what the people WANT out of recruit anyone.
There are a few simple triggers which make up the entire system, these being:
NPC is/is not (dead, alive, imprisoned)
Player is enemy/ally of (faction name)
Town (name) is okay
These are actually all the things which can be used to trigger world states.
Generally speaking, I am not sure how it works with such.
Let's take Ghost since you brought him up, he has two triggers, that being alive and bounty caught.
Alive is just he is fine, bounty caught is he is anything BUT fine.
If I had to guess once you get em the "not fine" trigger happens so even if you recruit him the world state should change. Since to recruit him you have to imprison (and kidnap) him and I doubt that it switches back after he joins you, but feel free to test it out since I will probably forget to do it myself!
If it doesn't you can always just dismiss him and import without keeping dead npcs (import is great for testing things and fixing problems!)
Sorry for the long wait wasn't involved with kenshi for a while.
