Question:
Does this (a) only affect the behavior of vanilla traps (Spike trap and the different kinds of IED traps)? Or does it (b) affect all traps, even new traps added by mods?
Depending on how it's coded, I could easily imagine this working either way.
AFAIK, traps hurting Caravan animals is vanilla behavior. To prevent that, you need a mod such as ED-EnhancedOptions (MANY options, including the prevention of trap trigger on colonists & visitors) or Trap Disable (From description: "Traps will not work for your colonist and pets and trader and prisoner." )
Ironically though, a Maddened Rhino sprung all 9 of the bear traps (They have a 100% spring chance) but they dealt no damage to it.
