Hey, could this mod make it so i could use the landmarks at the vampire coasts starter settlements with other vampire coast leaders?. Like playing as Luthor Harkon and building the lighthouse in sartosa.

I checked the game files and this case is not the same as the fixes in this mod.
There is no building chain for the Vampire Coast.
There's one for Dark Elves and one for Vampire Counts. No generic building chain either.

So I'd need to create new entries for a new building chain, link the effects, etc.
Doable but not the scope of what I'm doing with this mod. Sorry.

Can you allow the vampire coast to build the landmark at the altar of ultimate darkness, like the VC can?

I don't play with SFO but I'd say yes.
This mod is only a few lines and only adding things, so unless they somehow deleted the buildings from the database it should work.

An excellent mod and an essential add-on to any game.

I'll echo some previous posts regarding the vampire coast. I think extending the mod to cover them would make sense.

They're definitely mistakes. considering they were in at launch. They more than likely just forgot to add it back in for Vampire Coast too

By my understanding, WH2 isn't like Age of Sigmar, and all the untainted factions are considered order factions. A quick google search on this shows me that the topic can be one of contentious debate, however. ;P
The Skaven still having access is a big chunk of evidence to your point, I think.
I can see it going either way.

I didn't consider the lore angle.

Your reasoning makes sense but Dark Elves, Greenskins and Skaven have access to those landmarks, so they're not exclusive to order factions.

Could be related to their unliving situation but Tomb Kings also have access.

So still looks more like an oversight to me. I imagine they would have mentioned the removal in the patch notes if it was intentional.

I could add Vampire Coast as you said. They would make a lot more use of those landmarks given their starting positions.

But if you do think they're all an oversight from CA, you might want to give the Vampire Coast access too. If you do be sure to give the cst access to wh2_main_special_tower_of_hoeth_other not wh2_main_special_tower_of_hoeth_vmp, since cst can't recruit necromancers and such.

I'm not entirely convinced that these are all mistakes. I looked at the db and the same list is missing from the Vampire Coast, too.

White Tower of Hoeth I think is one - it's a custom vamp building ID with vmp effects. ...Either that, or they just decided to scrap it (they'll do this for lore reasons, like when they removed the custom voices from the Council Guard). I don't know of a reason for why the vampires wouldn't just corrupt the White Tower of Hoeth with balefire, which is why I think it's a mistake. But there might be an explanation.

Hag Graef makes sense as also being a mistake. They're just physical mines.

But the other 4: Chamber of Visions, Quintex, Emerald Pools, and Stellar Pyramids... those are all buildings for the Great Plan. All the order factions can reasonably have access to them, but should the old-world vampires?

I can see it going either way. I welcome someone with a greater understanding of the lore to chime in.

From what I remember from the Reddit post, they were included around the launch of mortal empires, a few patches later they were removed by accident and they've been bugged ever since.

Yeah, agree with Gorbatte.

From that page it looks like all landmarks from Vortex are already in ME.

Are you suggest to add the ones missing because their region is not in ME?
That would be very different from this mod and not something I'm interested in doing.

Or are some landmarks on the table that are not actually in the game?
Or not available for a faction that is listed on the table?
Those cases could be from the same root cause.

@GDI you should actually give the names of those buildings as the only ones mentioned in the wiki are on settlements that don't exist in the mortal empires campaigns,so they can't really be added unless you choose another settlement for them.

Save compatible from my tests. Seems like even removing it doesn't break anything after the landmark is built.

Not startpos, just a few new entries in the building_chain_availability_sets_tables table.

Which is the reason it was so quick to get done. All the data is already there, just missing linking them to the Vampire Counts faction.

Definitely looks like someone just kinda forgot about it or some copy/paste mistake.
