Yes, this mission can be ported to other maps.
It's a matter of finding the mission file Zombies_Civilian_Rescue.Altis.pbo on your computer, copying it, renaming it and selecting it when you're playing on a different map. The copies would be, for example:
Zombies_Civilian_Rescue.Enoch.pbo for Livonia
Zombies_Civilian_Rescue.Malden.pbo for Malden
Zombies_Civilian_Rescue.Stratis.pbo for Stratis
Zombies_Civilian_Rescue.Tanoa.pbo for Tanoa
1. The music and audio files are already compressed. They are included to raise the immersion level. The mission file can be downloaded prior to joining any sever by subscribing to this workshop item "Zombies Civilian Rescue". The same can be said of the required mods. Some of the mods are huge, but they can be downloaded before joining a sever and add to the immersion of the mission. Downloading the mission off a server just before playing the mission is slow, I acknowledge, but that is an artificial transfer speed limit that goes back to Operation Flashpoint (OFP) days and has never been updated or addressed, even though internet transfer speeds have vastly improved since then. And of course, the mission file only needs to be download once.
2. As for the ear ringing noise used for explosions, I take your point. I’ll work on making it a togglable parameter.
I hope this helps. Let me know otherwise.
Note: Only the administrator is offered the opportunity to select the Bulwark location
manually on mission start-up.". So, I'm thinking you have not made yourself admin before starting the mission. Try making yourself admin and see if that fixes your issue.
by "restart" i meant that io am hosting a coop style play session on my pc while playing and when i am at the mission select screen for the map i get the option to restart the mission or resume it alongside the game options and the blue button that opens the mission in the steam workshop
upon pressing restart i get a prompt that says all saves for this mission will be deleted with which i accept but after accepting nothing happens
recently installed new hard drive and had to reinstall arma will update today after some testing, if you would like to continue this in discord my discord is Pandabearzzz#9999
You don't happen to have the ARMA server running in Persistent Battlefield mode, like can be achieved through Tophe's Arma Dedicated Server Tool (TADST), do you? That would keep the same mission running even when all players left.
1. Select a civilian in your group with a function key. The first will be F2 usually.
2. Press 6 for action. A list of loot will appear on the top left menu and towards the bottom of the list (you may need to press 0 a few times to advance pages) you'll find 'Open Subordinates Inventory'.
3. Press the corresponding number for 'Open Subordinates Inventory'. This will open the civilians inventory and you can takes items out of it and, say, put it on the ground. Also, if they happen to be standing over any loot on the ground it will appear. They must be aligned perfectly for this to work. Method B will ensure that alignment.
1. Select a civilian in your group with a function key. The first will be F2 usually.
2. Click middle mouse button while pointing at the ground where you want them to move to, say close to, for example, 'four ammo clips grouped together'.
3. Press 6 for action. A list of loot will appear on the top left menu and towards the bottom of the list (you may need to press 0 a few times to advance pages) you'll find Inventory.
4. Press the corresponding number for Inventory. This will make the civilian move to the nearest entity/object that can be related to an inventory. It may be a dead zombie which has no items, so not much use, or hopefully the 'four ammo clips grouped together' that you were looking at, or maybe the Bulwark box if that was closest. It might not show the thing you hoped for if stuff is on top of other stuff.
5. Drag or right mouse click the loot into the civilians inventory.
Method A
1. Select a civilian in your group with a function key. The first will be F2 usually.
2. Press 6 for action. A list of loot will appear on the top left menu. Only loot that you know about by running closely past will appear. So it helps to run around the town a bit.
3. Press the number next to the item you want the civilian to go fetch. Note that only single items will appear in this list (an ARMA thing). Four ammo clips grouped together will not appear in the list.
Yes I've had the occasional crash and I'm putting it down to core ARMA.
You need either a voted for or logged in Admin to be able to choose a spawn location. This is because you need a certain degree of 'knowing what you're doing'. Particularly, that if you pick a rural spot with no buildings, you will be given two Land_Cargo_Patrol_V3_F Guard Towers, but that will severely limit the loot drops and make survival difficult. I'll add an entry in the Scenario and Help file, accessed via the map ingame, to explain this in the next mission update.
Some things were a bit confusing like trying to give civilians items and the like but the biggest issue was that trying to start a new session by pressing restart in mission select didn't work it spawned us in the same save as when we quit the last session
Thanks! Look forward to checking it out more.
