The modules arent working for me
speed922 3 Oct, 2023 @ 8:34pm
yes.
Remousamavi  [author] 2 Oct, 2023 @ 6:02pm
The chutes are supposed to autodeploy when close to the surface. I'm guessing you mean they're just not working so the module just hits the surface at-speed?

UPDATE: (Sorry I couldnt get it out before this) I tried, The DROP mechanisim works, but I cannot say the same for the parachute
speed922 25 Sep, 2023 @ 12:52am
I found out it was that panel
speed922 25 Sep, 2023 @ 12:48am
Hi again,

I just did a search of the module and I am not finding the panel (I am spawning via editor, yet that has always worked fine) where is it?
speed922 25 Sep, 2023 @ 12:28am
I'll check that
Remousamavi  [author] 13 Sep, 2023 @ 8:55pm
@speed922 First up, did you put the panel in the MRR5 cockpit? If not, that's the most obvious problem I can think of. All MRR5 modules have such a module with which to control the given module from the cockpit (IE firefighting, weapons controls, etc).

- To drop from the cockpit, hit Arm Pilot Drop, then Pilot Drop/Toggle Top Connectors.
- To drop from inside the module, hit Pilot Drop/Toggle Top Connectors FIRST, then enter the module and hit Arm Pilot Drop on the ceiling.

@Remousamavi, I dont know what is going on, but I am trying to use the pilot drop, I am at 5000m and with the door closed, however it just wont arm, or it wont light up on the panel (nothing does) any remedies? (sorry if you have seen the previous message just not replied)

for some reason it won't fit

@dat epic bunny, it's 2902. I believe all of the modules say it on the side of the module itself

what is the weight
Remousamavi  [author] 1 Mar, 2021 @ 8:28am
1 - Is the module's upper connectors turned on? (The upper light should be green, and this should be its default load-up state).
2- Did you activate the MRR5's connectors? By default, they are disengaged, and do not turn on with "Container pickup mode" (this just opens the flanks to make the container fit easier. To engage, use the key-locked button over the orange door to the module.
studio620 1 Mar, 2021 @ 6:08am
i dont know what im doing wrong, but when i try to pick up the container, its like the connectors doesnt connect even though i have activated container pick up mode on the helicopter. it just stays on the ground when i take off. what am i doing wrong?
faceboy 27 Feb, 2021 @ 11:44am
ok i've figured it out, nice module
faceboy 27 Feb, 2021 @ 11:37am
oh wait the instructions say something about the remote control thingy
faceboy 27 Feb, 2021 @ 11:35am
i couldnt figure out the pilot drop since no matter what i did it wouldnt give the controls any electricity

Yeah for me the chutes deployed over land but not over water and I dropped them from 1000m both times.
Remousamavi  [author] 26 Feb, 2021 @ 4:36pm
The distance sensor is supposed to tell the chutes not to open - if it's less than 1 the chutes will disengage. if it's over water, it shouldn't get to less than one.
And are you saying the chutes DO deploy over land?
willow >w< 26 Feb, 2021 @ 4:31pm
Yeah I have the updated version and I see the hatch and stuff however when deployed over water the parachute doesn't open and I'm assuming that's cuz you're using a distance sensor instead of altitude.
CTH2004 26 Feb, 2021 @ 3:41pm
Cool! I made a comment saying that earlier, but I guess I deleted it... Well, I decided to make a IC for it, because, well, because

Here it is!
CTH2004 26 Feb, 2021 @ 3:27pm
Ah! I see! I think I'll make a micro-controller for that purpose... because, you know, why not!
Remousamavi  [author] 26 Feb, 2021 @ 3:10pm
And for anyone having problems with no video display or chutes not working, it apparently takes a few hours to a day for steam to update existing workshop subscriptions
Remousamavi  [author] 26 Feb, 2021 @ 3:09pm
The (updated) version does have a roof hatch and buoyancy/weighting for operation afloat. The only thing missing is the scuba gear idea, which I might look into (will be a pinch figuring out where that would go). If you try the current version, you'll find it'll float and stay reasonably buoyant without external float apertures.
willow >w< 26 Feb, 2021 @ 1:58pm
Just an idea, you could make a different version very similar but with like an air lock, scuba gear, and floats for dropping into water.
Remousamavi  [author] 26 Feb, 2021 @ 12:13pm
It's actually pretty simple - use a less than with a temperature sensor plugged to A and your desired temperature (15C in this case) into B. If the world temperature is just below 15 (13, say) the controller will activate the heater for a short burst - the immediate temperature reaches 15 and the sensor clicks off. The heater takes a bit to cool below 15 - and then the controller activates.
CTH2004 26 Feb, 2021 @ 11:52am
Umm... how exactly did you do the tempature? Was it a micro-controller? If so, could you do a link/ upload it? IF not, could you explain?
ExoticOnix 26 Feb, 2021 @ 9:20am
300.
Remousamavi  [author] 26 Feb, 2021 @ 9:07am
You might be using a pre-update version, Steam is slow on getting the word and pushing workshop updates at times.
What about your altitude? The module has to be falling at a particular speed for the chutes to catch.
ExoticOnix 26 Feb, 2021 @ 8:54am
Also the screen in front of the seat doesent show the info like in the pictures.
ExoticOnix 26 Feb, 2021 @ 8:53am
No I armed the pilot drop, then clicked the relise top connectors on the middle console.
Remousamavi  [author] 26 Feb, 2021 @ 8:40am
How far up are you when you drop it?
Also, are you using the container button on the helicopter? The one with the lockable button?
ExoticOnix 26 Feb, 2021 @ 8:03am
Air dropping doesn't work, it doesn't deploy chutes. Any help?
CTH2004 25 Feb, 2021 @ 2:15pm
This is awsome! Could you upload the heating system? As in the micro controler that you used? Thanks!
KasperKRZ 24 Feb, 2021 @ 9:18am
I have to admit this is about 10x better then my HAB.
