Fletch‽; Yes, that was probably more or less the cause. Did a few tests to find out. Seems that 1000 x 1000 picture size might be just 1 to big . . .

I'm pretty sure your thumbnail was too big. File sizes can vary a lot so you might've had an abnormally big one.
