it doesnt work with DLC, (you cannot turn non-DLC mods on) could you add support for it? I don't think it could be that hard

In order to make modifications to this mod, you must first find what you want to edit in the dll with dotPeek. Then, decompile it with Visual Studio. Make the edits, then compile it back into a dll with Visual Studio. The modified dll is what you put in the mod folder.
I will look into making a config file, but the modding server isn't very helpful about how I'm supposed to do much of anything, and I kind of figured out how to make this mod on my own by looking up random C# guides.

I found the .DLL in \User Data\User\Documents\Klei\OxygenNotIncluded\mods\Steam\2410136251, but am I expected to edit the DLL. I was able to decompile it and see the classes in dotPeek and found CREATURES.SPACE_REQUIREMENTS.TIER2 = (__Null) 0;
CREATURES.SPACE_REQUIREMENTS.TIER3 = (__Null) 1;
CREATURES.SPACE_REQUIREMENTS.TIER4 = (__Null) 4;
But I don't think I can change it. What file should I actually be editing? Thanks.

The only file I found is 1774952891087127497_legacy.bin - it's REALLY unclear how I would edit this file (or a different file) to adjust ranching requirements. Can you be more specific? I do know C#, so if there's a different file, I could help with that. Is there a github source for the code in this mod? Thanks :)

Thanks for subscribing! I will edit the .yaml file soon, and I will look into making a config file. Until then, you should be able to open the script file and edit the value I put in the description to your liking.

divergentworm/baby and divergentbeetle/baby and staterpillar/baby are the 3 critters i saw unaffected by this mod depending on how you created the mod might be possible to add the tags but you know that better than me :)

How much lower are the space requirements in practice? Would you consider making it configurable? I don't want a gang of critters fitting into a ranch, but a limit of 8 in 96 tiles is somewhat silly.
