What specifically "conflicts" that I noticed (because I was trying to use it) was the climate map mode gets turned into his pure terrain map mode. What you say makes sense now that I'm not staring at this at 1am lol. Both files get loaded, the changes made by your mod (enabling the climate map) are loaded and then the changes made by his mod (turning that map mode into his pure terrain map) are loaded. They don't technically conflict and since they're handling different information, can be loaded in whatever order without the results I was looking for lol. Thanks for humoring my comment, your mod is working as described, flawlessly so far as I can tell.

I'm not sure how many edits the other mod makes in the map_modes.txt file, but if it is just a small amount then it would be easy to merge the two.

Sounds like the game is trying to load both files at once because they are different names, which would cause the issue. If the files were the same name I would think whichever is loaded last should take priority and override the other.

So, for whatever reason, I'm having a similar problem to drakmoonthemad13, but changing load order didn't work. Didn't matter what the load order, I couldn't get this mod to work with Enhanced Graphics and Lighting. I looked through and fixed it for myself by disabling the localization folder for EGL and the gfx/map/map_modes folder by appending them with "-disabled" in the folder name.
I will note that the map mode file for this mod is named differently from what is in EGL, so maybe there's something that's being treated as an over ride because of the name difference (the file name for this mod is map_modes.txt and the corresponding file in the same folder in EGL is named pure_terrain.txt).

MME with clear sky would look great with a mod that changes the map font to a gold color.

I had to load it after De Atlas Orbis Terrarum , navigable rivers and the patch for those mods to work together even tho the patch mod says to load those 3 last

Just try moving this mod to the bottom of the load order so that it is loaded last. There must be another mod in your list editing the same file.

Well sorry to hear that. FYI, this mod only changes 1 file: gfx > map > map_modes > map_modes.txt

I'm not familiar with some of your mods, but if you are certain that this mod is conflicting, then that must mean one of your others also edits the same file... I think.

When you say it won't work, how so exactly? Crash? Buggy graphics? No effect?

It might be worth disabling each mod, 1 at a time, and then testing to determine exactly where the problem is.

My guess would be to start with your "recolor" mod, but that's just a guess.

If, however, you are aware of any of your mods that either add new map modes, or change existing ones somehow, then that's the one causing problems.

I cant seem to get this mod to work. I do use better UI and it doesn't matter what place in the load order. my mod list is De atlas orbis, navigable rivers the patch for those mods , recolor, sell provinces , clear sky, high res terrain map, bigger governments. Rosetta, cactus cheats,more ideas , ideas unlocked ,great wonders refined, better buildings, improved road building, unit fix roads, unit fix pirates. any ideas would greatly help

In the player map mode you can see everybodies manpower, cohorts etc - is it possible to hide?

Thanks, and of course recommends are appreciated.

But about your suggestion, I'm not sure how to do that. Also, a change like that doesn't really fall within the scope of this mod. I would put that kind of edit in Clear Sky, but again, it isn't as easy as it sounds.

If you want to try to tinker with it yourself, I could point you towards some game files that *might* have the solution to making it brighter, but it isn't a guarantee. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Awesome mods, man. I hope it's ok if I recommend your mod on my mod page. Good work! Although if I may make a suggestion I would be curious to see a brighter, sunny version if at all possible.

That should be relatively easy to do. I'll look into modding which icons appear on which maps. I have noticed the map can get very cluttered with stuff in certain scenarios.

Would be nice if any units on the map (kinda) disappeared while using Cultural or Religious and maybe some other mapmodes like it does in Atlas mapmode
