very nice mod. the "colorfull" engines always bothered me. but could you get rid of the white design stripes as well? still not neutral enough.. thank you.

@Rothank I thought about it but I would rather make my own mod really, there are a few things ide like to do differently. I'm not sure. For now I packaged lebtrons tint mods into one and may release it in the next couple of days as it seems hes fine with that, I need to triple check everything is ok first.

hey Axeface, I noticed a good bit of discussion around the topic in one of the Lebtron's turret recolor mods - do you have plans to upload the fixed version to complement your engine tints mod?

@Bahaar Thanks for posting this because I just found out why boron ships in my game can mount split shields and other issues. Issue lies with lebtrons recolours, if you remove all the xml files from the mods it will be fixed (for newly built ships only).

firstly, thanks for the great mod!
Quick question: Does your mod change equipment tags for engines?
I was using SVE and XR Ship Pack and even after properly updating the mods, the AI kept building mod ships without engines. The author of SVE found that turret recolouring mods broke on him due to changes to tags (not sure what exactly they are but I hope you‘ll know what he means), so wanted to make sure that updates of the game and mods with 6.00 haven‘t created some sort of incompatibility?
Any way that you and/or the SVE/XR modders can and want to check compatibility if your mod does indeed go into tags for equipment?

The mod is cool, I'm waiting for neutral colors of weapons and turrets of Splits and Terrans.
In general, egosoft are strange, I would make a neutral material in their place and in the settings I would just specify the color that will be superimposed on top. For example, Earthlings have white, Splits have red, Argon has blue. But if a player were to build these modules or put weapons, their elements would be painted in the default paintjobs

Holding out hope that one day we'll get a neutral Turret & Shield Generator tint mod to go along with this, even if it only changes Split/Terran ones due to them being the worst offenders.

When I try to visit any of the additional rooms while ship L/XL is docked, it will take me immidiately to Game Over screen.

@g0jira I did do the XLs. All I changed though was the main structure/panelling, the XLs have some other structure like pipes and struts that I think is best to leave with some colour.

great mod definitely a must have for the game love the black color on the par Small and medium engines anyway to get that on the other races engines not a big fan of purple :steamhappy:

Wraith with this mod on my Balaur looks awesome, ty for the mod. I have to echo MajorStamper on the neutral turrets and add neutral cockpits/bridges. The bright reddish orange of the Split interiors is utterly offensive to my eye. Maybe a neutral everything that is not the chassis mod, lol. Thanks again Axeface.

Egosoft could have solved the problem by giving us more control when painting ships. I'd be perfectly happy spending a few hours painting a ship like I did with my cars in Need For Speed Underground.

@Majestic Blue Falcon I never tried that and not sure if its possible. I considered doing it once but it would be more work and honestly I think it would look pretty weird with the components as they are now, would need to add some modelling to them to look good.

Is it possible to have the components just use the ship's paint? It seems like that would be easier than changing the colors manually for each part, but then I'm not a coder or artist.

@Vollhov It's possible I might do that for turrets (really mainly split, the rest not sure), but it takes a lot of time to do it nicely and I have a lot of other projects i'm trying to get done.
