I heard fixes from unofficial patch were included into 2.0.5., weren't they?
Umgssda  [author] 8 Jun, 2023 @ 8:57am
Thanks for commenting on this news. I would have missed it. It is great that we get the new improved 2.0.4 version. I have had a glance at the changelog there. It's a verbatim copy of the changelog here except for the map issue.

So my recommendation now is, to use the 2.0.4 (beta) patch and no longer this mod.
Expect this mod to be deleted at some point in the future.

Thank you for your work, glad to se your creation be integrated into 2.0.4 :cozycrashfish:
Swenthorian 5 Jun, 2023 @ 2:55pm
Did Paradox integrate all of your fixes?
CrowsAmbit 3 Dec, 2022 @ 10:37pm
It was my understanding that Invictus integrated your mod? Or did I misunderstand?
Umgssda  [author] 3 Dec, 2022 @ 10:08pm
I do not know about compatibility. Issues could arise if two mods modifiy the same files. This patch does only touch a few files so it would not be much work for anyone to figure out and comparing the files with the originals one could relatively easily figure out what the fixes are and merge them into other mods.

You could try to simply load the two mods, then I would suggest to load this patch first, so it gets overwritten by the other mod. This might remove some fixes, but it will prevent stuff from breaking.

Lastly: Yes, you can activate it on an active game. I cannot guarantee that your issues will be solved then, but it won't introduce new issues.

Is this compatible with Invictus mod? And can I use this with a save that's already started before I installed this patch? Thank you a lot I have finised the Iberian Struggle mission tree with Hispanic Overlord as last mission but nothing happend.

I have noticed that in the main game's localisation file has a bunch of cultural names for the titles of governors and generals et cetera, I think not having that can be pretty immersion breaking and i would love to see it.

You can upload savegames in the Paradox Bug Report Forum.

Alright two things, is just Epirus DLC preorder, and what the best way to give you a save game?
Umgssda  [author] 16 May, 2021 @ 3:02am
Sure a savegame would help. Again I would suggest the Paradox Forum. It's just a resource available and not just for Paradox. It helps me to keep track of things without the need to set something up myself.

Regarding Savegames:
* preferably non iron man - the restrictions aren't helpful when I try to add mods
* I don't have the preorder DLC, so best if that is not activated

Thanks in advance.

Yeah I get it, it meanly affected my head cannon/rp, was just rather lame how I was going to use Sparta with its giant discipline bonus to remake the second Peloponnesian League as a strong Greek ally but oh well. Seriously through take your time. I didn't want to report it on the forum because Paradox stopped development on the game so it won't fixed until 2021 at least. Also I can give my save if you want to use it?
Umgssda  [author] 15 May, 2021 @ 11:06pm
Thanks for the explanation. I will keep that in mind. As it won't afffect the player directly I don't think it is critical. I guess if there is a bug it will be in the hardcoded backend of the game and doing a workaround with a mod might be rather difficult. But I will check it when I get the chance to recreate the situation (I don't have any savegames right now).

You might want to report the bug in Paradoxes bug forum https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/forums/imperator-rome-bug-reports.1047/
It is easier to keep track of things there.

New bug to report, if a nation is released in a peace deal no missions will spawn and no deities or holy sites will be available for the released nation. I've tested it and managed to recreated pretty easy, just use a peace deal to release a nation and tag over to them to see. Oddly I released Sparta in a peace deal and immediately tagged over and they had the unique Spartan missions and no deities than later I tagged back and the missions where gone. Also if you release a nation manually as a client state from the nation tab, missions and deities ARE there so I'm fairly confident this is a bug and not a weird game mechanic

great work

Added a fix for the Carthage mission.
Syntax 12 Apr, 2021 @ 11:01am
I'm not sure a save game would help, as I've moved well past those missions. I had kinda figured that as I conquered Spain it would eventually show up. I looked at the wiki and saw the original event file for vanilla, and fulfilled all those conditions some time ago. Posted on the paradox forum and from that conversation had a look at the mission tree.

Just looking at it a little bit more, and poking around in the save file, I think the mission tree just wants you to have completed 2 other mission trees, one of which being the original Iberian Mission tree AND to have chosen Hispanic Overlords during that tree (which I did).

That second trigger I pointed out seems to trigger in the Iberian Investments tree, if you back out of the tree (which makes sense, I guess).

The wiki has this note regarding getting Iberian Investments to show up:

Due to a bug, this condition is not checked properly and will never be true, which means that it is impossible to get this mission tree.

Thanks for the additional info. That is definetly useful.
If you have a useful savegame it might help to upload it.

A good place to upload a savegame is the paradox bug forum. Try a search of that forum (for example with google) to check if a report for the issue already exist and just add a comment with your savegame.
I check there regularly.

many thanks for looking into it Umgssda. I can confirm I should have all the requirements as Carthage to spawn the next mission tree. I completed the initial Iberian Mission and took the Hispanic Overlords option, and DID NOT restore Tartessia as they were not conquered. I believe they become my client state and I annexed their land peacefully.
Syntax 12 Apr, 2021 @ 9:59am
From what I can read, I have to have taken the Hispanic Overlords option in the previous tree - which I did - but not take another event. I can easily copy paste the trigger: carthaginian_iberia_expansion_mission_task_final_2 (basically means I did NOT create Carthage Nova - which I did not)

into the 01_carthaginian_missions_03_iberia text file and it shows up, but the NOT trigger is a bit more mysterious

carthaginian_mission_09_iberia_2

does not appear in the mission file in that way, I did find:

carthaginian_iberia_expansion_mission_task_9 = { # The Heirs of Tartessia

which completes with a monthly on action:

carthaginian_iberia_expansion_mission_task_9

This is written differently, so perhaps it is why it does not trigger? In any case I did NOT restore Tartessia, which seems to be what the event wants in order to spawn hannibal and family, so perhaps the exact wording of the event is improperly written?
Umgssda  [author] 12 Apr, 2021 @ 3:08am
I had to look that one up. There is currently no change in the mod adressing this issue, hence it should behave like it does in the current vanilla version. As this issue was already reported in 2019 a lot might have changed since then.

I will try to recreate the issue and come back with a more definitive answer. Might take a couple of days though.
Syntax 11 Apr, 2021 @ 5:20pm
Great work - does the Carthage mission 'Iberian Investments' fire with this patch? It doesn't seem to work in vanilla, according to the wiki.
Umgssda  [author] 8 Apr, 2021 @ 4:24am
I can fully understand your desire to get this issue adressed. I too feel that it would improve player enjoyment for basically every nation in that region.

For practical reasons I would see such an adjustment as a balancing mod (or official update).
As there are a wide range of possiblities and oppinions for how to approach improving the game, I believe that a seperate mod to cover just indusputed improvements - that is bugfixes is valueable to all stakeholders.

This is what I try to cover with this mod.
I hope this explanation is somewhat helpful for your request.

What about stopping Rome from blobbing in the first century through Greece, Illyria and Italia?
Umgssda  [author] 5 Apr, 2021 @ 11:15pm
Thanks for trying and letting me know. I will have to figure out how that is supposed to work.
Todie 5 Apr, 2021 @ 3:31pm
Hey @Umgssda I tried o run the paradox launcher version of this (becaue onedrive doesnt let me use steam workshop mods)

i got an instant ctd. not sure if its to do with the .git and .cwtools folders being in the mod folder or what?
anyway, i checked for compatability with my "Powerbase + AI" Mod that i finished a first version of today.
Umgssda  [author] 2 Apr, 2021 @ 4:34am
There is a map connection that allows you to settle some provinces on the baltic coast from a certain territory on the red sea. Probably rather irrelevant for most players as the AI won't use it.
Typhion_fre 2 Apr, 2021 @ 4:22am
Just out of curiosity. But what is this wormhole you speak of?
Umgssda  [author] 17 Mar, 2021 @ 2:20am
IR 2.0.3 is released. I checked the update for conflicts but there were none. So the latest version of this mod will run fine with 2.0.3
Umgssda  [author] 9 Mar, 2021 @ 7:23am
I was just checking the update.
Most of the fixes are _not_ adressed in the official 2.0.2 update.
But do not use its current version together with 2.0.2, it would prevent some of the improvements.

I'll make a new version to work with 2.0.2. Shouldn't take long.
Destroyer 99 9 Mar, 2021 @ 7:04am
Is this outdated now with the new update?
Carpe Verpa 5 Mar, 2021 @ 5:13am
As someone who actually tends to use the missions in Imperator, this is greatly appreciated! Thank you for the diligent work.
