A new update of Teardown made it so you can add new tools. This mod used to replace the blowtorch but now is its own item.

After doing some testing, I can't get it to happen. If you mean the fact that there's still flames for a second or two after switching, what you're seeing is the fire particles from the previously shot flames.

when you hold down lmb while switching to other weapons it still shoots flames as if the flamethrower is still equipped
