Its nice, in third person view. Not so much in first person.
Menkepht 14 Dec, 2013 @ 10:33pm
Love the mod but due to my condition, the visuals give me headaches so I'll have to drop it for now.. but good work.
Menkepht 8 Dec, 2013 @ 4:54pm
Thanks for this I love the graphics.
Warden  [author] 15 Nov, 2013 @ 12:19pm
@Reconpastry: Not that I know of... I'm working on another project (combining these effects with bound weapons) but I'm also playing with some additional armour visuals at the same time so I'll see what I come up with
Smashton 14 Nov, 2013 @ 4:03pm
is there a mod similar to this which works for armor too? im just looking to get glowing effects and stuff, its a bit plain at the moment armorwise :(
AzraelMuad-Dib 28 Oct, 2013 @ 9:37am
These new visual effects are beautiful, and yet not so flamboyant that I can't see in front of me. :) Nicely done.
Sileighty-Nine 5 Jul, 2013 @ 7:13pm
Looks cool, just a few requests:
Could you make the effects stick to the blades and not the handles, I'm burning my hands.
Could you also make the fire effect a bit more like the blade is on fire with a more dense flame on the blade and fewer "flying" flame effects?
Azaghâl 19 Jun, 2013 @ 3:22am
Wow I've been looking for something like this for months!
AAaAaaaaaaaaaAAAAaAAaaAaAAaaaAAa 2 May, 2013 @ 3:19pm
Just what i was looking for!
Warden  [author] 17 Feb, 2013 @ 8:57am
For anyone using SkyRe, I have just added a patch mod file onto the Nexus that allows it to work properly with SkyRe (thank to matteos88 for sorting the patch out!).
Masadi 5 Jan, 2013 @ 7:28am
Cheers its working now :) Though abit of clipping on the bow ver of it but better than anothing :D
Warden  [author] 2 Jan, 2013 @ 1:06pm
@terra_young: I'm having a few problems updating the mod on here so I've put it on the Nexus if you want to download from there http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/29316
Masadi 2 Jan, 2013 @ 7:47am
any chance of updating this mod? It don't seem to work anymore....I even tryed it with no other mods installed and not working, so don't seem to be any mod effecting it on my list.
ザ・ワールド!!!! 16 Dec, 2012 @ 5:55am
tried and they're not working together :/
Warden  [author] 16 Dec, 2012 @ 5:45am
I'm not 100% sure as I don't use the other mod but if I guessed on how they'll have done it, I don't think thay will work together
ザ・ワールド!!!! 15 Dec, 2012 @ 7:16pm
does not works with "unlimited charges" mod ?
squall321 29 Sep, 2012 @ 4:59am
already did something like it and saved it in an extra esp so no danger of overwriting. Think I deleted a little more and now there is no visual effect but I get stamina and automatically the effect from the second enchantment without having to edit the weapon. So all is fine now and I can enjoy your mod :).
Warden  [author] 28 Sep, 2012 @ 2:30pm
@squall321: oh, one more thought, you will need to make sure you don't sync your subscriptions or it will overwrite the changes you make
Warden  [author] 28 Sep, 2012 @ 2:29pm
@squall321: yeah, easy enough... just edit the esp and under 'Magic Effect' find 'EnchAbsorb???FFContact' and set the 'Enchant Art' property to 'NONE'. That should remove the extra effects.
@Simon Colt: If you're still watching, the same will remove the swirling frost effect
squall321 24 Sep, 2012 @ 4:12am
with the creation kit it's possible to create a sword with lightning visuals and absorb effect, You just have to make the lightning more powerful. But I still have the problem that screen gets dark with absorb effects. Is it possible to remove the absorb part of your mod somehow in the creation kit?
Warden  [author] 26 Aug, 2012 @ 8:27am
@astralblade: I'm not sure how the unlimited enchantments mod is put together; there are two ways of doing it... one wont be compatible with this mod, the other will. If you are having problems, my guess is they have modded the magic effects (as I have had to to for this mod) rather than the enchantments
astralblade 23 Aug, 2012 @ 6:11pm
Seems to mess up the unlimited enchantments mod, sometimes a weapon will still have unlimited charges but after reloading they eventually start to lose their charges.
Perloviy 5 Aug, 2012 @ 11:10pm
благодарю, хороший мод
alastair 28 Jul, 2012 @ 2:53am
THANK YOU. I've been looking for a mod like this for weeks!
Warden  [author] 27 Jul, 2012 @ 12:54pm
Having a 'mare of a time trying to upload a fix for the frost glow issues... it looks like the preview image is corrupt and it's crashing the creation kit every time I try and upload it... any help welcome if anyone has had this before
Faustian Device 27 Jul, 2012 @ 1:45am
@simon colt: a) frost takes up a lot of space... personaly i prefer bleed
and b) on the scale how large is your char? it might have some implications
EzdePaz 20 Jul, 2012 @ 4:46am
May game crash when i look at the the broken blades please help
Stanley 15 Jul, 2012 @ 10:12am
I went on, I pulled out my 2 dwarven swords with frost enchant and the problem is still there. The ice effect takes all the space from the blade all the way to the middle of the screen, when combined in dual wield it takes up 100% of the view. Make the effect smaller please :(
Warden  [author] 15 Jul, 2012 @ 9:32am
Actually, give it a try now... looks like it may have actually uploaded
Stanley 15 Jul, 2012 @ 9:28am
When you manage to upload it, could you please let me know? I love this mod and I would like to continue on using it! Thanks
Warden  [author] 15 Jul, 2012 @ 9:23am
@Simon Colt[K]: I know what you mean and I have actually fixed that problem (there were some glow emitters that I put in the wrong place if anyone is actually interested!). I'm just having some problems uploading the new version... I'll keep trying
Stanley 1 Jul, 2012 @ 8:35am
Nice mod but gets in the way too much. Dual wield weapons with ice enchant and you cant see shit.
therex55213 29 Jun, 2012 @ 8:21am
@At0mz109 I know, I was saying that it would be cool if he managed to make it work and that if he needs help he should look for help instead of taking the burden of something that cool yet difficult all on his own.
@XionVonko nope, addes other stuff as well, the bound effects are only for the uber-enchants from anise's cellar and for flame effects in general, other types of enchants will have other types of effect
XionVonko 28 Jun, 2012 @ 4:27pm
so all this mod does is visually add a sword shaped conjured weapon flame lookin thing.
Warden  [author] 28 Jun, 2012 @ 12:32pm
@epiccombat: my guess would be that you just installed another mod that messes with the basic enchantments. If it is newer (i.e. loaded after this mod), it will almost certainly override this mod.
Chorus 25 Jun, 2012 @ 6:01am
This just recently stopped working for me, how can I fix this so i can have epic daggers again?
maximumfox 24 Jun, 2012 @ 6:40pm
Therex55213, the mod adds visuals to the weapons, not armor.
therex55213 22 Jun, 2012 @ 9:15pm
I can imagine the armour ones would be a bit of hell to deal with, I cannot imagine how they would effect 1st person gameplay. BUT, if you do manage to figure that one out, or if you have an idea but need help, I am sure there are plenty of modders that would be willing to join in this project as it is VERY promising imo.
Keep up the good work!
Warden  [author] 22 Jun, 2012 @ 1:43pm
First off, thank you for the comments, much appreciated! There were only about 20 users last time I looked so I've not been paying much attention). So to try to answer some of the questions / comments:

Some general stuff... It's only weapons at the moment. I did have a play with armour but it just doesn't quite work right / look awful.
Warden  [author] 22 Jun, 2012 @ 1:43pm
@dannycanada1: This mod changes the vanilla enchantments and so wont be compatible with any other mod that changes them. My guess would be you are using another mod that is loaded after this one and overrides it. Alternatively, I have found you sometimes need to start a fresh game to get mods to work properly sometimes.
Warden  [author] 22 Jun, 2012 @ 1:43pm
@master_sword_899 / therex55213 / squall321: The reason the Absorb effects override the elemental effects is because the game is balanced that way. The displayed effect is whichever the most powerful (i.e. if it was a spell, the one that would take the most magika to cast). These values are all tied to the base effects and the only way to do anything would be to change them and that would wreck the game balance. This is why frost is 'stronger' than fire. The slow effect on frost damage is balanced as more powerful than the outright damage done by fire. Blow for blow, fire will kill an enemy quicker but frost does stamina as well as health damage and so costs a little bit more.
Warden  [author] 22 Jun, 2012 @ 1:42pm
@master_sword_899 / therex55213: I would love to get the effects to stack but there are some serious engine issues (not to mention the performance hit!). I am guessing here but I think that might be the reason Bethesda didn't go with this approach. Essentially, to get the effects to stack, you would have to create a unique mesh for every possible combination (it took long enough to get the basics working!).

@spearrx: yeah, sorry, can't do much with the performance drop. The effects are a bit mesh / texture heavy but it was the only way I could make it work.
Warden  [author] 22 Jun, 2012 @ 1:42pm
@therex55213: I haven't noticed a problem (well not since the first really disasterous attempts!). Any chance you can let me know the issue and I'll see if there is anything I can do... can't promise anything as the effect mesh has to be generic. I've tried to fit it to as many weapons as possible but the daggers and some of the big weapons are unfortunately never going to be ideal (at least not without making the mod 10x the size and taking ages to put together!)

@Thiago: it does work for bows (and all other weapons) but doesn't always fit perfectly

I hope that answers most of the questions but feel free to ask if there's anything else you want to know!
therex55213 19 Jun, 2012 @ 8:45am
If an item has multiple effects they should stack imo, having multiple different absorb effects on one weapon would be visually cool, and having more than one of the super-godly effects from anise's place would be a stunning weapon to both your enemies and your eyes.

@master_sword_899
how is cold stronger than fire? one a one-hit basis at level one without perks they should be exactly equal, with fire doing more damage on subsequent hits due to its own effect rather than simply slowing the opponent. Have you made sure to do different combinations of the two without destruction or elemental damage augmenting perks?
squall321 18 Jun, 2012 @ 3:30pm
really like the mod but 2 problems with Absorb effects. With Absorb Life screen gets dark with the effect (though not 100% sure if this is from this mod alone, conflict with other mod or from other mod entirely).
Second is, that the absorb effects are dominant over the elemental ones which is sad because fire and lightning look much nicer. Any possibility to do something about that?
EuSouOBraq 16 Jun, 2012 @ 8:03pm
This works with bows?
weaf 15 Jun, 2012 @ 11:33am
I said it before but didn't have a pic to back it up, but on this page is an awesome enchanted weapon from daggerfall http://game-fudge.blogspot.com/2011/05/ode-to-daggerfall.html
storm.l 15 Jun, 2012 @ 9:15am
@Warden, I really like your mod. But it doesn't look so good on bow could you look ad it and fix it. Also you don't see an enchantment well in 3e player.

How you have time to answer.
master_sword_899 12 Jun, 2012 @ 10:46pm
@therex55213:
like i said earlier, the only enchantment that shows on weapons with multiple enchantments is the strongest one.

For example, fire damage + frost damage. Only the frost damage enchantment will show because it is a stronger enchantment than fire damage (I have tested this before).

However, I think a weapon could look pretty badass if multiple enchantments were to show in the right combinations.
GrizzlyVII 12 Jun, 2012 @ 5:53pm
very nice mod it reminds me of the dragon age games enchantments
