So far this mod still works perfectly, even with heavier duty mods like UWE. Good stuff if you want to go nomad.

Dont you hate it when you make a house and then everyone and there extended family comes up with more hatred then any being can physically possess. All because they find you of all people camping outdoors admiring the world to be akin to the worst war crimes imaginable that defy all concepts the Geneva convention can conceive? Then this should help.

Well, I made a mistake. I had taken the building materials requirement out. So all starting items would be open by default. But apparently research bench or table needs to be built, because it triggers a "research is available" not when it finishes building. Which is a wonderful thing.
Thank you for a very cool mod, it makes things more cosmetically nice not to have to have a house or shack built to do the research.

I really liked the idea of your mod, an outdoor research table. and all the trimmings of nomadic life. But I can't get it to work. I tried using a new game. click but research still dark and unavailable. I tried a save file, same thing. I tried an import, still the same.
Am I doing something wrong?
Is there a certain way to approach this? If so, can you tell me what I need to do, or is there a certain order?
Do this first, then that sort of thing?
Appreciate the time, and your mod looks very cool, I just can't get it to work.

Wise idea to not add farming, crafting nor mining. This is a very nice alternative for small squads, or those who don't want a base.

@nunalto - I have no idea, I've never used the mod pack. This mod modifies all vanilla camping structures and adds new ones, as well as new blueprints to camping vendors, if that helps. Unless Genesis modifies vanilla camping structures, there shouldn't be much conflict, if any.

@Rebitaay thank you for reply, I have set create player town to false on the wall I wanted to use,it still sets up outpost,unless a mod is overwintering the edit. Thank regrades for reply and mod, I enjoy the little set up I have with this mod going just wanting some protection form beak things lol without summoning all the factions to my little camp.

@Spartan007 - If I recall correctly, each building in the FCS has a flag labeled "creates outpost". As long as it's set to "false", it won't create a town.

May I ask how you make it to where these don't make a player town? I want to do the same for metal fencing just so I can set up a small little fishing camp. Thank you for any reply. It make no sense that all the NPC factions know exactly where my little camp is instantly in world with now communication tech.

yea figured out what i did wrong, i deleted the outpost before the uc tax evasion squad, so they instead bugged out and went to my actual base not in their territory at all, and as they walked in and started yelling about the drug production i cut em all down and they all got up and retreated, but there were no relation penalty for beating down 2 dozen guys and they never aggro-ed to me when i approached uc cities.

@JoeTheezy - The map marker works by creating an outpost that you name. That is unfortunately the only way to do such a thing as map markers. There should be a warning about this in the description of the marker, though. Not sure how you would go about removing the outpost, perhaps using the in-game editor (Shift + F12).

not sure what mod could be conflicting with it but i set up shelters sleeping bags a campfire prisoner poles storage and a marker and it created an outpost that i had taxcollectors in bound on and even though i completely deleted everything they are still there "waiting at outpost ???", did i place the wrong items perhaps? i only placed camping items

@[150th] Chebas - Theoretically, it should work fine. It just adds new buildings and blueprints for them. Genesis is very expansive, and I never used it myself, so I cannot say that it would work with 100% certainty. At the very least, nobody so far has reported any issues with this and Genesis. Sorry I can't give a more definitive answer.

@일어나 ! - It adds flavor! In all seriousness, though, the cannibal cooking pit is the only model in the game that represents a roasting spit. I'm not a 3D modeler, so I'm restricted to what is in the game files, unfortunately.

@DatAwesomeness - I remember that I had considered some sort of fencing when developing this, but did not implement it for some reason or another. I will give it some thought when I return to Kenshi modding in the near future.

How would you feel about adding split-rail fences into the selection? They're basically just tied wood poles and don't have a specific gate, though could still be nice for at least redirecting enemies and animals to help give your nomads a chance to escape. Nice mod btw :steamthumbsup::beeped:

@Rebitaay I would love to use a lot more of your mods but I'm afraid of the conflict of Genesis which is a must have for me. I recommend maybe playing it and doing some patches. :SBpenguin:

Excellent concept! Which makes perfect sense, especially for the early game.

@Skyros - Kenshi Genesis does make some additions/changes to campsite items--like prisoner poles--through one of its sub-mods. Sensible Nomadism--if lower on your load order might or might not work; which is a shame as Genesis is the only absolutely indispensable mod for the game...Perhaps a patch could be made.

@rebitaay thank you for the help, I do not use Bury Your Treasure and its likely a conflict but tbh if the pile of rocks wasn't your mod that's no problem, this is still a great mod thats helping me out. Thanks for your work!

@armymdic - The scrap shelters, landmark, hidden stash, and field research table are unlock by default. All else must be researched, or requires blueprints to be purchased.

@gburnie do you use the "bury your treasure" mod besides this one? if so you could try changing your load order so this mod is below ByT and see if that fixes the issue.

@gburnie - This mod does not add a "pile of rock" building. Must be a mod conflict.
