I don't know why, but this mod destroys all empires on the character selection screen.

any chance you could make a version of this that includes duchies as well? or somehow a version where the emperor can't just create all the HRE duchies and grant them... :steamfacepalm:

@Damianus, well that sounds like it could interfere, without looking at it though. If you mean in the launcher, then yes, it will show in the playsets tab as enabled. If you mean in game, you can test it by starting the game in debug mode, giving AI characters enough land and money to form the HRE kingdoms and then switching to observer for a few years, if the don't form the kingdoms, then it's fine, if the do, then the mod doesn't work.

I don't know, i have the historical empires mod. I have a lot of mods installed. I know used an alternative mod installed to have the same effect, it's a mod that requires permission of the emperor and a hook.

Try verifying the integrity of game files via Steam if it is a general problem I guess. If it only really happens when launching the game with only this mod enabled, then try unsubsribing and resubscribing after a while. No idea otherwise, I am personally using it on the newest version and everything is fine.

@Danir(CZ) I don't think so. I isolated this mod as the only cause (I thought it was weird too) when I wanted to try a 1066 Seljuk run. To be specific, you can make you own landless adventurer, but you can't play as any of the pre-generated ones.

@cpsh1234 The mod uses the updated 00_landed_titles file and starting as landless seems possible to me when trying it for myself, could perhaps another mod be the issue ?

So, this mod makes starting as a landless ruler impossible. Presumably because all landless titles are included in 00_landed_titles. I think that currently, in admin realms, only the emperor can create duchies or kingdoms, but I can't find in the files where that is encoded, because otherwise I would suggest just doing that for everything.

@Darkstar Hello, you can test it the same way I did when I made the mod. You can test it by starting the game in debug mode, switching between rulers in the relevant territories (even Bohemia) and giving them enought land and gold to form the kingdom. Then I would switch to the emperor and make these now powerful like him (so they don't rebel). And then I switched to spectator mode and let the game run on max speed for a few years. If no kingdoms other than Bohemia form, then you know it works.

Hi, on version 1.12.5 I seem to get a bug with this mod where it destroys some ducal and imperial titles on game start making a lot of rules independent.

I think would be interesting to make the Kingdom disallow to be a vassal contract option similar to War Declaration rights

Other than that I have no idea if it is possible to mod kingdom creation, it might be possible, I don't know.

The best course of action would probably be to try and mod it yourself so it fits you, it's not hard at all, might just take some time, but other than basic knowledge how logical operations work, that is all you really need :)

(to limit players drop the "limit = { is_ai = yes }" line)

@Andrzej Well I guess other than for multiplayer the issue is really solved by self restraint. Well it could be modded in by adding to every kingdom title this in the 00_landed_titles file:

can_create = {
trigger_if = {
limit = { is_ai = yes }
is_independent_ruler=yes
}
}

(for kingdom titles that already have some forming conditions one would have to add this condition using AND)

This would be quite a chore to maintain for every kingdom though and it isn't something which was the goal of this mod to begin with. Though I suppose I might consider making a separate version of this mod which would add this condition to at least Hellas, Thessalonika, Epirus and Nikea (and possibly Anatolia and Pontus). These kingdoms forming inside the Byzantine empire have caught my eye in my games as looking weird. But no promises

Game rule to also block players from forming kingdoms would be nice. Also i think in every empire it shouldn't be possible to form kingdoms if you are not Emperor. In Byzantium it also breaks immersion to see kingdom of Hellas forming etc. Couldn't it be modded in so it's universal requirement to form kingdom? Being independent?

@ftces Glad it is appreciated :)... the prime reason for it, I must admit however, is that I personally use it in every campaign in CK3 I play... and I don't expect myself to stop being a fan of CK3 ever really.

@CalicoDJack Well it has to be "landed_titles" but I image you got that right. I have experienced a similiar issue before myself.. did you by any chance upload the mod to the workshop already which led to steam downloading said mod and are you using the "steam" version of the mod ?
Because for some reason the "steam" version of the mod doesn't work if you have your normal version of the mod in your mod folder as well.

i need help . I have changed the file landed title , but i cannot create as a mod ! Look i try to create a mod from the game tool and after that i go to the file of the mod , i create inside the mod file a "common" file and inside that "landed titles" and inside that i place the file 00_landed_titles with the if independence to any kingdom title and save it there . after that i start the game with thath mod but it didn't work . For the record if i change the file in the main game (and not create a mod just go to the main game landed title file and change it ) it work's .You tell me what i do wrong . I need to change something other except landed titles in my mod , or i do something wrong with te creation of the mod ???
