Really like the updated version, the shield and handling feel great.

But it might need a little fix/change: I got generator overload damage while fighting a relative low level shielded poi (did the roll, a bit of maneuvering, shield charging and all guns going). Is there room for another advanced generator? I would love to have a version with another of those, even if i have to put in some quantums.

Also a mark on the spots for additional turrets would be great.
And there are really lots of lights in the ship, i might end up ripping most of those out, sorry ;)

Amazing ship. I retrofitted it as a miner and its just so agile that I can't help but laugh.

Jesus Christ on a pogo stick. You're not kidding about feeling like I was shot put of a cannon while getting reamed by a rocket. I mean, this thing is amazingly awesome, and basically an "I win" button against the AI. I really do wish the game allowed for tankier builds to be combat viable late game.

I added a ton of minor QoL improvements that you might like to incorporate in your version, such as motion sensors, turret device groups with different targeting, all turrets named, tweaked nacelle shape to allow additional turret emplacements, indicated turret spots with symbol textures, added landing gear and a sentry gun, added fridge, armor box, small arms storage box, added a detector so you can switch off the long-range radar for battle to reduce the chance you overload the generator, added a thruster power-saver signal group, etc etc

That worked a LOT better, but in the end I had to replace half the Plasma Turrets with Missile Turrets, as I was missing way too much. Thanks :)

Come in laterally at the Dreadnaught, what's hitting you are Hitscan lasers, theyre all along the arms of the dreadnaught, they have a 'cone' blind spot extending out from each arm, they cant see over one another or the armor ribbing which extends Half a block above them if you roll tighly along the arms. Thanks for the info. I tested this on a corvette and managed to evade every single shot, but the dreadnought forced me to flee before I got its shields down due to how many missiles it was firing, and the fact that I seemed to be unable to dodge those.

Is there a certain side I need to attack from, or some other trick I am missing? I went to 24 plasmas and ended up at 93% CPU after crew, downgrading missile to flak, downgrading secondary decoy thruster to small, but I still have 78 roll and 118m/s2 up thrust. I weigh about 3.8kt with ~11k L3 Plasma and minimal cargo.

I noticed the textures recently Red, sry bout that :) Ammo, About 6000-8000 L3 Plasmas if you're running 24 Plasmas, 200 or so M300 Laser cartridges, and 2000 140mm Missiles if you're running 4 Missile turrets. Thats enough for about 20-25 minutes of constant fighting, which you'll need for a Dreadnought.

There's a few blocks around the thrusters at the bottom left at the rear that are untextured and not matching the right side, and a motion sensor for the hangar would be nice, but those were an easy fix. Was able to find room to get it up to 24 Plasmas even though it goes over CPU; mitigated it a bit by finding room to add 20 NPC Crew. I also punched out the solar panels and walls inside the top lateral thruster pods and covered em in shutters, then added 4 solars back on the bottom and top upside down so that they tuck up against the body, and added the stripes texture on all the blocks around the thrusters to make em look heat-treated. Haven't tested it in battle yet, but loving it so far!

Question though, how much ammo do you think I'll need to take out a dreadnought? I imagine I should try to go into battle fairly light, so I don't want to way overdo it. Thanks!

@ArtemisRouge Sorry, I meant in *.epb(?) format--in game I forgot to save it in its default state prior to being damaged in combat. So now one nacelle's larger than the other, and I'd like to not have to rebuild the entire thing because it takes me so long to gain enough of the rare metals. I hope I'm making sense. Thanks.

Also it required an advanced turret upgrade kit in the factory but has no heavy turrets? Any idea why?

SirHumpalot, I target generators at close range. Foxlinger: It's a Reforged Eden ship, so if you're trying to use it in Vanilla empyrion, that's likely the problem. Peener, if you want an open-thruster compatible ship, try my new one, the Ayamara, I heard your comments and I made it open-thruster compatible.

Try to load the blueprint, it says it can't be made because it contains a FORBIDDEN BLOCK whatever that means.

@Fortaleza , The repair bay is a piece of junk I havent used in a long time, it can be hard to make it work, I do have confirmation that the Dauntless has been repaired in one, but my recommendation would just be to use station services for repairs. Sell thrusters at Pirate Asteroid stations, or sell bridges/matrixes from deconstructed CPUs and simply buy repairs. That's what I do.

H-DE, I removed the Artillery turret as it was a last-minute addition and in testing the destruction of the artillery turret was particularly explosive and risked blowing the ammo controllers out. The plasmas are the real driving force for the ship anyway :)

@ArtemisRouge This ship does not fit any kind of repair bay. I tried even 300x300 flat spacedock in space, with no obstacles, with landing gear even touching repair block. With no sctructures around. flat table. And it still says "Required area for template is blocked". This ship cannot be repaired. Please share any repair dock template or screenshot where it is seen that this ship can be repaired. I had no chance

I really like the way the Dauntless looks, and it handles like an SV, just crazy! I watched your "Combat Trials of the USS Dauntless" on YouTube, and I'm just wondering if you added more guns for the combat trials, or is that video of this loadout?

Syrex, looks like Reforged Eden Scenario / server... the tier locked gives it away on the cpu usage... try the scenario.. its what empyrion is meant to be as a game! come join on HWS RE server

What a beauty!! Sadly, it has blocked thrusters all over the place. :( So dissapointed... Is this necessary for the function to get the yaw / pitch?

If I would change one thing, I would repaint the interiors to not be so dark :D Also I am thinking of using it as a modular chasis design, I.e. I will take all the pulses out of one and put mining lasers and actual lasers to make it a mining ship, then another one I may do lasers only to use to chase drone parts etc. etc. I could easily see me in a new playthrough having a base with 3-4 of these parked on it some with simply different equipment and others maybe with a new belly to serve as dropship etc etc.

I tested and loved it as it came on the workshop. I did not mind the antiparasite treatment was fun element :D. It did eventually die by the new Tovera (found apreviously undiscovered playfield with it - the greel balls) but a friend was flying it for that engagement so I cannot comment whther it was the extreme speed of the new Tovera, the ridiculous spam from it or just my friend unused to the 'plastic' as he put it, craft. I personally was very happy with it, to the extent I am now finding my other ships sluggish lol and I am baking a new onw this morning...

So, I took down a Dreadnought in her, stock as she comes out of the factory. I may be dizzy, but I only had to back out of range 1 time to recharge shields.

I actually kind of like her looks, she's unique.

I just tested it and it did a really nice job. just the evading is unfamiliar...

there is a litle problem, i noticed: the lift from the hangar up must be close to a big truster; i got heatstroke just from slowing a bit to see what blocks are there.
I would sugest to fill in the 2 elevators and make a new one in the middle inside the hangar space.

Been waiting for this thing since you first posted a video on YouTube about it.cant wait to get off work and try it for myself.but a ship at this caliber has me thinking,whats the next step?is the ambassador xts the only thing that is even above this in raw killing power?or is there another ship you would suggest after you get a bunch of quantums stocked up?
