Oh thank you! With this Mod I was able to get Beep to navigate his way to the Flotsam Village and that place is an absolute headache to get to! He did get stuck a few times on the return trip to my base in the Boarder Zone, but all in all this mod works very well indeed! :steamthumbsup:

The description of the mod misleads you. In fact, your character will swim more often, not less often. Since the mod completely clogs the roads, now your character will swim across many lakes without using the roads that go around it. They also do not choose the shortest way across the lake, as indicated in the description of the mod

Just started using this mod and i question why i ignored this gem. My current playthrough has my fastest runners stopping, and going, then stopping, and going, then stopping, and going. Maybe it's because im playing modded now but I had enough.

Just 5 minutes into my session and they glide like smooth butter. No more random stopping to get killed by beaked things, I can waltz by with my scout legs are intended to do.

Just wanted to toss a big thanks! Everything I've seen people complain about in here I've seen in vanilla pathing but so much worse. Your mod reduces it by at least half and completely solves an annoying pathing issue where the AI loops a person back and forth on the map instead of allowing them to get to their destination. I tried removing your mod for a while to cut down my total mods, but I've since decided yours is definitely a "must have" mod on my list after far too much frustration with vanilla.

if you suffer performance problem, its usually because you click subscribe too much and have nasty modlist without right load order or even worse with slowpoke mods

The pathing for enemies is worse vice the vanilla game. I'll stand in a crowed of hungry bandits and they will ignore me. Same for slavemonger and dust bandit.

Yeah it might not be, it seemed better at first but it's still bad. It's probably tied to my squad getting bigger (45 currently) and whenever they are all in the same tight space the game struggles to calculate pathing resulting in horrible frequent stutters.

I wish i could say this mod is perfect and solves everything, but i would be a liar. I very much apreciate the attempt and i can say it has sligthly improved the pathfinding, mostly for travelling arround. However the game is naturaly janky and buggy. The devs could have a done a better job and i realy wish a kenshi remastered would adress it as i would gladly pay for the game again if all the jank was solved. Using this mod i noticed chars stoping for no reason and failing to calculate a route still happens (prob something to do whith loading and not pathfinding), and i noticed pathfinding inside buildings actualy became a bit worse whith characters running against the wall next to the door instead of going through it. In general, i think the mod is positive but dont download it expecting to suddenly solve all the pathfinding problems in this game because it will not.

Enemies raiding me just get stuck, they dont run up to the gate and try to break in, they just run around and spaz out. I have this mod at the bottom of load order.

So the only thing this isn't compatible with is modded races correct?
Also, if that's the case, then nothing bad will happen only those races will use the vanilla pathfinding and not from this mod?

I saw that the autopatcher doesn't work, but couldn't we make the changes ourself? Looks like there's only two edits for the most part. Pathfinding acceleration and water avoidance, so if we add those new values for each race, wouldn't that do it?

I downloaded this because I was trying to follow a trade caravan that was crossing the map taking two steps forward and then one step back over and over. Instant fix. THANK YOU!

majority of formula was adapted around player faction
You need to change only:
Size of footprint (i set it to 5 for all humanoids and smaller animals)
6 for slightly bigger animals and for anything bigger i usually adapt to double X-size
and Water Avoidance - i set it to 9 for version 1.6 as it works slightly better than 10
game accept numbers up to 10 without freaking out and hate partial numbers

Would it be too difficult to tell us what we need to change to allow for custom races to work? Maybe that way i can do it myself for my personal use instead of relying on the whim of mod creators. (Since the FCS is relatively user friendly)

Sadly yes, modded race need compatibility patch, they should be easy to make, but there is a lot of modded races

i use this mod myself, i explored whole map with it, it wasnt always perfect but vanilla patchfinding was quite low bar xD

i can only recommend removing this thing, my mods was designed to improve the game
mods that actively turn it into loading or crashing simulator will not cooperate with it
any performance issue can't be put on me for you loading genesis slowly, check how you load vanilla game...

@goemo what are the other two mods to clear loading? I only use Genesis, plus particle fix plus 75% less rocks and plants and texture performance, i also use's SCARaw Performance NVIDIA profile AND i also installed kenshi and workshop inside my SSD but the game stops every 10 seconds and load for about 30 seconds... i'm getting really depressed.

I dont know how or why... but adding this ALSO fixed the issue of to slow loading.

I got 2 other mods that helped and i got it on SSD but it still paused all the time.

Now its sometimes loading an thats it D:

Hello, thanks for replying, I am not playing Kenshi these days. I was playing stable branch, mod on or off it was exactly the same, at least in that area. I did notice improvement in pathing overall. Mod is at bottom before 256, issue was for all my characters, even animals. I eventually solved it building concrete walls around water, I believe those are walls from a mod I was using, so they were forced to use bridges.

are you playing experimental branch or stable?
does issue remain when you disable the mod?
is my mod at the bottom of your load order?
is that issue happening for every race or just selected few?

This mod helps with AI pathfinding in many ways, personally it improved a lot the way my guys behaved when going around my base and storage items, they move better as a group, etc.

This mod did not improve the AI choosing land over water, at least in Okran's Pride rivers. My base is built in that zone and the AI always prefers to walk into the river, swim parallel to land even tho rivers are very small, and then exit where they want to go, instead of using land and then swimming just to cross the water, they are using the water as their main pathing.

I imported, reset navmesh and also fixed stuff with f12 menu. I noticed the previous changes but the water issue remained exactly the same.

this mod does not edit single zone file
any zone errors are related to modpacks or badly made overhauls
feel free to disable my mod and check
