I need to do it again though, some elements that I duplicated (but not all, must be my error in blender at some point) have their surface textures transparent when looking from the outside so to speak. I should have wrote down all the steps I took to redo the thing easily, but if it worked once it should work again.

I see why you might dislike 2.7, I can't even figure out yet how to delete the things I don't want in edit mode but in 2.8 I figured it out in a couple of minutes. This is what my shaders tab looks like:

I'm not sure what those 3 red ones are for, ambient, specular and reflective. Also I don't know which texture should I get for the Tokyo (probably its in extensions\ego_dlc_terran\assets\textures\terran) and I have a feeling like it uses different ones for different parts..
Without addressing the above I managed somehow to be able to export it to .dae without errors and even convert it to .xml but obviously I fucked up somewhere. The newly created .xml is tiny (5kb compared to vanilla 28kb) so that didn't work. I'll keep trying though.

The final version is probably going to look like ass but at least my autism in regards to center of mass and thrust will be satisfied.

I also just realised I should be using 2.7 to avoid errors during exporting of the modified .dae back to xml.
I take it i'll have to bite the bullet and track down a program to unpack them correct?
I noticed it carriers 40 fighters and has 3 pads, but has 1 medium pad but no storage for medium craft, its internal cargo is only 9,000m3 even though it is a XL craft making me think its done lore wise like the split raptor where she only has 19,000m3 because her cargo bay was sacrificed for instead more hanger space.
I think either just the 10 medium craft hanger capacity would make sense and would bring her upto total dock storage to 50 (like the majority of other large and XL ships in the game) although having a M dock Capacity of just 5 wouldn't be bad either.
In order to edit the model, did you first unpack only the .cat files of the DLC, or just the .cat files of the base game or both?
Would you mind saying what tools you used?
