Perfection! The map was compact enough that after trying lots of things that didn't work, I could see the remaining avenues I hadn't thought COULD work, but maybe... ;)

i was half joking i really wasnt trying to be angry there lol

but yeah my brain just blue screened at the first puzzle
i should really play easier maps first.

iand uhh i dont know how to use spoiler tags on steam either

and as you said, yes, this is the first community map i played.

thanks for the help anyways ^^

this map isn't planning on snatching your mortal coil to sell it on ebay so let's go at this in a calm manner:
where exactly are you stuck? i'm not sure what you're referring to when you say "the green wall". additionally, i strongly urge you to use spoiler tags when asking for hints because not doing that is disrespectful towards others.
i do want to add that this puzzle assumes you've had a sizeable amount of experience with portal 2 community puzzles beforehand. jumping into a map like this with no preparation will inevitably make for a poor experience. so, here's my pitch! https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=470046703
this collection by RedSilencer offers a wide variety of well designed puzzles in the easy difficulty range. they're perfect to build up skill for harder maps like this one if you're just starting out with community maps. i highly recommend :)

Ooh great map, beginning took me 5 minutes (we don't talk about the hour I spent last week without even figuring out the first move) and then I struggled for 20 minutes on the ending. Faved :steamhappy:

Without a doubt a fav. I've played this map a bit ago, I just wasn't sure what to say. It is truly excellent, completely blew my mind figuring out how the end worked. Some of the best natural timings in a map as well.

One of the best i've played, beautiful work.

I may be 3 years too late, but I love the simplicity of this map. No idea how someone could come up with something like that
sashqo 7 Mar, 2024 @ 2:02pm
Amazing level, but I would not say it is 4.5/10 even for experienced player. I have solved Hold my Hand and Funnelization and this map feels just a tiny bit easier, only because it took me less time to beat it. Anyways this map is super good and I think you have to be a genius to design such!
mabelpines 26 Jan, 2024 @ 3:28am
you are my favorite map maker! please make more
SpKi  [author] 4 Jul, 2023 @ 11:27am
Sorry, my difficulty perception is often skewed because I have played too much of this game :p Being the map maker also makes it a lot harder to judge. I hope that wasn't too discouraging, that is not my intention. I'm glad you still had fun, congrats on the solve.
CoffeeCoder 4 Jul, 2023 @ 8:09am
No way 4.5/10, even for advanced players. Very hard, but fun one. I actually had most problem with one of the first moves.

Thanks for all of your comments Haru! Your solutions are all intended. Nice to hear that you had fun :]

Excellent puzzle!I enjoyed a lot!:pawpaw:

From these few puzzles, I can feel that your current style is more intense, and it seems to have inherited your past progress in your mastery of time, very very good,I'm happy for you!

Honestly, when I saw this puzzle, my head was filled with a lot of pieces, and I knew everything had its meaning, all I need to do was figured out the interactions between elements, that was so sweet, especially the funnel tricks.&:star13:

Absolutely fantastic map, the first move was definitely the most subtle for me :) The rest of the progression wasn't easy though, and makes a lot of sense in relating areas and connections and overall felt very nice to execute. Can't believe it took me so long to attempt this, maybe because it first intimidated me lol.

@mabelpines sorry, I accidentally deleted your comment! I appreciate your kind words. I may get back to mapping at some point.

Brilliant job! The laser management was done really well, The chained cube respawns near the beginning were really nice and took the longest for me to see, and I loved how the funnel came to play in the end. The only nitpick is that the yellow fizzler near the funnel could have been pushed out ever so slightly, since I fizzled my cube twice there by accident, even when being more careful, but other than that, a textbook execution of easy-medium map! favourited!

Found the intended method. Very nice! The "aha" moment came as I was wondering why the funnel speed was so slow. Big thumbs up.

Thanks again everyone, nice to see it being well received :^)
@Leo: Considering Indecision exists, I wouldn't be surprised if Mike was a robot anyway, lol. ;p Thanks for the nice words!
Leo 7 May, 2021 @ 8:39am
Extremely clever and satisfying to solve! I gotta say, you're really good at implementing implicit timers, as Aneonen puts it. Those moves were the climax of the puzzle in my opinion and also those that took me the longest to figure out. And it did take me quite a long time, I'm no Mikeastro I guess. However I can only praise how smart the solution is, a definite favorite!

Excellent work! fav
Aneonen 1 Apr, 2021 @ 12:50pm
Great puzzle! Very good use of the same space/elements for multiple moves. Though I thought I'd dislike them, I ended up really enjoying the implicit timers in certain moves.
Oblivious Owl 20 Mar, 2021 @ 8:07am
Great puzzle with excellent reuses!
SpielSatzFail 19 Mar, 2021 @ 7:38pm
Phew. I'm neither talented in laser puzzles nor in SpaceKitty maps, so it's needless to say that it took me ages to solve. In fact I begin to worry that I'm not qualified at all for real Portal challenges :-/ 4.5/10 my ass ^^ but... I did it! I did it on my own. I'm so proud of myself XD
Fortunately there was no physics trick in here this time :-P The map is full of hidden connections, portal management and sacrifices . I only saw single pieces of the whole thing and wasn't sure if they'd work and how they would fit together. When I finally came to the end move the timing was very satisfying. I gladly give a thumbs up :-)
P.S. again, just like in Mora and LightSlicer, I was convinced of a move that wasn't needed. I thought that in the end I needed to destroy the cube by shooting through the open gate from up above, but it's just impossible to prepare a situation that would allow me to do so.
Mikeastro 19 Mar, 2021 @ 12:30pm
Super cool puzzle. Fortunately I solved it fairly quickly, ( about 20 mins ) but every move was clever and highly elegant. A very interesting concept executed in a brilliant way. That's a fav from me also :]
Teo 19 Mar, 2021 @ 10:55am
Extremely good. The progression through each state was extremely satisfying, and the ending sequence was awesome to see in action. I enjoyed this a lot.
Joric 19 Mar, 2021 @ 6:38am
@lapcidas, ah, got it. I missed 1:13 timestamp, my solution didn't use that trick.

klaus.sfc01 18 Mar, 2021 @ 1:33pm
very nice map.....
lapicidas 18 Mar, 2021 @ 7:54am
@Joric, the floor under the laser is slightly lowered. So the first half of my solution is no longer possible.
Joric 18 Mar, 2021 @ 7:46am
@lapicidas, what was the update really? I couldn't notice any difference from version one.
