This seems like a very cool engine to use but my question is how do you actually fit this ginormous engine in a truck in terms of realism?

Engine packs one hell of a punch. Could do with being quieter and having its idle lowered though.

And in YT have a video of one crazy guy called mike, that weld together 2 detroits 12-71 making one 24-71 and even put EIGHT blowers on that... if you can programing this 24-71 engine with 3400 HP in ATS you are a saint kkkkkkkk

I do have A LOT of updates already made to the sound, also to the engine definitions aswell, I actually made a research and those engine did rev up to 2,5K in the haul trucks, idle should indeed be lower, I do have 12V149 in works, also with air starter (also for this). The thing is I have a lot of school and I am barely catching up already. Chceck SCS Forums for engine mods, the architecture of engine mod is sound bank made in FMOD Software, engine definition as text file with names and values, and simple in game icon, thats all, engine mods are pretty simple.

love this mod. tried both engines. everything sounds great, idle, jake, and through the rev range. It is one thirsty engine. loved the start sound with it hunting for a second. I like that you made the engines expensive, at least compared to other engine mods i have. i tried both engines with the k100 and had no issues other than my computer blue screening a couple times but i do not blame this mod as it still does it from time to time without this mod. i have a couple requests/suggestions/constructive criticism.
1. i do not think it would rev to 2500 rpm stock, seems high. maybe logical for king version.
2. the idle should be lower, more like 500. yes, i bet the generator version did idle that high but a street version would be lower i bet.
3. maybe make more engines in this pack, 6v149, 8v149, 12v149, 14v149, 16v149.
4. make each engine with an air starter variant.
where would you suggest i go and search to make or modify engine mods?

@DieselFan58 I actually added support for that k-100 but honestly it has the worst structure I've ever seen in a mod, he uses scania s as template and somehow made it work in ATS, there are multiple engine mods that has problems with it because it hooks to W900 sounds, and I don't know how to bypass that

is there a trasmission pack for this engine? the engine is great btw :)

Not really, that trans is just edited 24 speed gearbox with 0.001 gear change, nothing special, I make those mods for myself but someone on discord wanted to have it on ATS so I ported it

So basically this would be fit in the Heavy Haul Mining Truck [MUTT alias CAT] realistically or a Fregatte for the matter. Interesting, also probably needs your Transmission Pack from ETS here aswell

It wont fit in anything smaller than haul truck lmao, so ofc its unrealistic, thats the point of having it as GAME MOD

Actually tomorrow should be ready for update I am working on, turbo is fixed, there are no weird vibrating patterns and the sound is more or less working how it should've from the start, including anthem support.
