Hi, das ist ein wunderschöner Mod.

Allerdings habe ich ein Problem damit festgestellt. Ich nutze sehr gerne die 1/2 oder 1/4 Datumsgeschwindigkeit. Leider läuft der Mod mit normaler Geschwindigkeit weiter und hält sich nicht an diese geänderte Geschwindigkeit. Kannst du da noch was machen?

I find the tax mod is just applying taxes in the wrong places, if you ask me.
Interest paid is not accepted as write-offs, taxes on operations do not go on net profits, but on some weird hybrid rule, which - at least for my german frame of reference - makes very little sense.
Also, the numbers in the "tax year" tab of the finance overview seem to be double-accounting for a few things.
So overall a great idea, but the kinks need to be ironed out until I will turn it back on.

Can you create mod to change revenue formula instead of adding taxes?

I think main problem is in vehicle speed give out too much reveue bonus on on everything except passengers.

Did You add the mod after you started the game or directly on creation? On creation it may cause issues (sometimes).

The settings mean for "Infrastructure + Vehicles" will influence how much more expensive (or cheap) the acquisition of Buildings / Vehicles will be. (Negative = more expensive, positive = cheaper).

Income is a little more dynamic: The defined value will not allways be substracted or added, depending on how high your gross profit (income - maintenance) is. With ~ 66% GP you pay the defined value on taxes, with 88% it doubles. For Subsidies with - 50% GP you get the defined % as Subsidies.

For me 20% works well for early games. Later I will probably increase that value as in late game you just print money anyway.

in the meantime - put it on 1/4 the default and match the min and max and it works great for anyone who needs it

Min = Subsidies, Max = Taxes is correct.
For the Income Taxes there is a margin of 10% where you don't get anything or where you don't pay anything: Between -5% (loss) and +5% (Income) . Outside this range it should work (does for me).

Problem is: I've changed at one time the frequency of the actually booking into your journal (the part under other) and left the logic of the Tax Tab as how it was before (without noticing). Resulting in the Tax tab actually showing the forcasted taxes to be payed (or subsidies to receive), where is the amount was already deducted or added to your account. => mismatch between both screens.

Will fix this probably tomorrow evening. Apologies for the confusion

Default settings for this mod, not touched anything. These are all the mods I have:

Note: This is a pre-built map, with manually placed roads, if that makes a difference.

I'm also having some problems with this (as will Hushey when he gets to actually enabling this mod in his youtube series). The Taxes screen says I'm paying 89-90k in taxes (split between Road and Tram), and that I'm making about 200k in profit. Yet in Other on the Finances screen it shows -369k, which is over 80 % of my income, and I'm losing money overall. The next year the same, my income was a bit lower, but Other takes 86 % of it.

The figure under Other seems to scale with income, so it's lower when my income is lower. But something's messed up in the calculation, and it deducts far too much from my account. It's supposed to be a relatively small fraction of my income, yet it's eating up almost all of it (the rest disappears with the loan interest).

So what else is going into Other that isn't shown on the Taxes screen?

I'm having a hard time understanding that. Max = Taxes and Min = Subsidies? I set Min to 20% and I'm in debt, no profit, minus 1 million in my account and still don't receive and subsidies. I set Max to 0% just to be sure and still no subsides. I have 3 lines, all profitable, so the mod is actually taking my money not the lines.

@Hushey#7555: I'll add an option to disable it, whenever I find time to further work on this mod.
You can adjust the rate to your needs in the settings (on the Tax Tab there is a settings option)

The same error someone else has reported. If the solution is to activate the mod in a save game only, could you mention it in the description, please?

I'll have a look if I can add it to the config with the option to hide it ingame. When I started with developing, my usecase was that I was using the very basic version from Doug (which did the job as well) but did want to have a) more options to choose from and secondly being able to update it ingame to make it harder when I realize I get to a point where getting money is way too easy

Hi, nice mod! I have one question: I find it is too easy / to tempting to be able to set the rates and percentages in Game - Would It be possible to adapt the mod (or make a second mod) where all these settings are done in the LoadScreen before actually being in the game or / and a version wehre this is maybe 'hidden' in a *lua file somwhere ?

ok, I'll look into finding a solution for that. That issue seems to be quite random and is related to the saving (to Savegame and the shared lua state). I've experienced that issue with another mod as well as read from other modders having the same issue.

I like the idea. I have found ground vehicles to be off balanced ie. are unrealistically cheap and have unrealistically low pay compared to trains
