Very nice route. I have a suggestion for this page. If I were you I would untick "Academy" from your list of required DLC, both in the description and the right side "Required DLC" box. Everyone gets it included with the game anyway, and having it listed as a requirement might lead to needless confusion.

Include Quick drive ai ?
Not.Silent 17 Sep, 2021 @ 3:13pm
Well DeeDeeNaNaNa, I also found the history very interesting. It was great to read Brunel visited, as I am a big fan, and have given a talk about his exploits to our local U3A group (University of the Third Age). I'm a wee bit older than you ha ha.
I have published my first scenario - on your great route. I chose to do a 'Southern' one based around 1950 - and only at Canterbury West. I use the S15 and N15. They should be in the sale, when DTG releases TS 2022. Well done. The signalling, and points work very well. Excellent in fact. Well done indeed.
I will buy the Terrier in the next sale, and probably use this on the actual line. Cheers.

Hi Not.Silent. I found the history of the route fascinating, I hope you do too. It's such a surprise to find how early the line was and how it can lay claim to several railway "firsts", but is often overlooked for it's part in railway history.
I do find an old map interesting too and along with the one on Wikipedia I did look at many other's on the National Library of Scotland's site to try and help build a fuller picture of the line.
I hope the route behaves for you when you start creating scenarios, as getting the signalling to work was quite challenging.

Hi DeeDeeNaNaNa.
I'm finally looking at the route properly, the history, and also maps to start formalising a creation on it. I am looking forward to seeing what I can do.
It is especially of interest to me, because I used to 'draft' maps at the Ordnance Survey, and personally did a map of the town of Pwllheli in Wales, which included all the rail lines next to the harbour, similar to the Whitstable Harbour map (used on the Wikipedia site about the Crab & Winkle). I mentioned earlier I lived in Canterbury/Bekesbourne as a kid too.

Hi dip bros. The track used for the Whitstable branch is from the "Return to Maerdy" DLC. The track used at Canterbury West is from the Riviera in the 50's
the taxi driver 14 Sep, 2021 @ 8:17am
Which dlc has the tracks for the line?
DeeDeeNaNaNa  [author] 22 Aug, 2021 @ 10:47am
Oh El_Muna. I know I already replied explaining I can no longer edit this route and it's quick drives. I have since looked into ai on quick drives though and it seems that consists need to be valid for a certain route to show up as an ai service, so this is unlikely to be possible on a workshop route.
El_Muna 21 Aug, 2021 @ 5:25pm
Ok,, thanks
DeeDeeNaNaNa  [author] 21 Aug, 2021 @ 3:22pm
Thanks Warwick Rail, I have added the link in the description. All your work to make the workshop content easier to search is really appreciated.
Warwick Rail 19 Aug, 2021 @ 9:50pm
Here is a list of all the workshop scenarios for the route.

Spawn ai when play Quick Drive ?
DeeDeeNaNaNa  [author] 27 Jul, 2021 @ 10:01am
Hi Bungo. Sorry you are having problems driving the route. There should be some scenarios in the quick drive section for this route, one in each direction. They may not show up if you have an electric loco selected though.
You could also try subscribing to the included scenarios that are linked in the description. Once subscribed these scenarios should appear in the "standard" tab under drive.

Hi RolandBP, thanks for the comment. I'm glad you are liking the route.
RolandBP 26 Jul, 2021 @ 9:00pm
What an interesting route and so well detailed.
I like that it is based on an actual railway.
Bungo 26 Jul, 2021 @ 12:09pm
I live in Whitstable so am really keen to have a drive on this (being a real steam engine driver too ). It looks very good. As far as I can see I have all the needed DLC's, but I am still not getting the option to drive. Am I missing something?
TS Academy and Stanier 8F have 'retired' next to them?
DeeDeeNaNaNa  [author] 12 Jul, 2021 @ 7:37am
That's awesome Not.Silent. Thanks to those who have voted too.
Not.Silent 11 Jul, 2021 @ 5:19pm
Now I can get into some creating DeeDeeNaNaNa. Yee ha.
Not.Silent 8 Jun, 2021 @ 3:22am
More 'thumbs up' everyone, so chris5012 and I can publish on it!
gareth19822002 2 Jun, 2021 @ 5:49am
Hiya. Thanks for coming back to me it's much appreciated. Weird as I thought I had that add on. I will have a look tonight. Thanks again
DeeDeeNaNaNa  [author] 1 Jun, 2021 @ 3:20pm
Hi gareth. The track used for the Whitstable branch is from the "Return to Maerdy" DLC. The track used at Canterbury West is from the Riviera in the 50's
gareth19822002 1 Jun, 2021 @ 12:53pm
I'm trying to work out what DLC I have missing as the track vanishes as soon as I leave Canterbury West? The track is all ok at Canterbury West but the Whitstable branch has it missing. Thought I had all the DLC needed. It's driving me mad. Lol
DeeDeeNaNaNa  [author] 22 May, 2021 @ 10:54am
Thanks for the lovely comments, I'm glad you are enjoying the route. It's a shame there's not a railway anymore in real life, but it does make for a lovely walk or cycle if you ever find yourself in the area.
Bradillo 20 May, 2021 @ 5:40pm
Excellent little route, got my thumbs up
chris5012 22 Apr, 2021 @ 8:45am
Very nice route with some fearsome gradients at both ends to give some stern challenges. Like Not.Silent I urge people to give the route "Thumbs Up" so scenarios can be created when it exceeds 30,
Highball Simulation 20 Apr, 2021 @ 12:32am
I once walked the trackbed of this route, so I'll be giving this a whirl!
Broomwagon 19 Apr, 2021 @ 3:38pm
Thanks I'll give it a spin.
DeeDeeNaNaNa  [author] 19 Apr, 2021 @ 2:32pm
Hi broomwagon. The route does not need the metropolitan line. I don't own that DLC either.
Broomwagon 19 Apr, 2021 @ 2:13pm
Hi, does it need the metropolitan line? (the only route I don't have or am likely to get). It says it needs it in the list but then no mention of it being needed in your description.
Not.Silent 14 Apr, 2021 @ 4:47pm
This route needs 30 positive 'Thumbs Up' ratings everyone, before I can publish a scenario on it. Please help by giving it your vote.
DeeDeeNaNaNa  [author] 14 Apr, 2021 @ 8:48am
Sorry El_muna, since the route has been made final I can no longer update it and as far as I am aware that includes the QuickDrive scenarios which are packaged as part of the route.
El_Muna 14 Apr, 2021 @ 5:18am
Include Ai when play QuickDrive ?
DeeDeeNaNaNa  [author] 13 Apr, 2021 @ 1:26pm
The route has now been made final.
There are also some scenarios linked in the description too.
DeeDeeNaNaNa  [author] 29 Mar, 2021 @ 8:32am
Thanks Not.Silent. It is really nice to hear your Memories of Canterbury West. I'm also looking forward to seeing what interesting scenarios you can create for the route.

Another update has gone live today with a few more fixes to issues I am finding, details are in the change notes. Any feedback on any bugs you find is always appreciated too.
Not.Silent 27 Mar, 2021 @ 11:10pm
Hi DeeDeeNaNaNa. A great little route, and I am really looking forward to it being your final version, so that I can get everyone to rally around and get enough votes, so I can then publish some scenarios on it.
I lived near Canterbury West in 1958. I used to put coins on the track to be flattened by a Bulleid pacific hauling 'The Golden Arrow'. I loved the flags on the front and the huge arrow on the side, and Wagonlits carriages.
I will do some testing to see if I find any issues. The layout looks great with great attention to detail. Well done. Thanks for all your time you have put into it so far.

Thanks roobert :steamhappy:

Lovely route which captures the line and surroundings so well. Than you so much for sharing.

Thank you AllyourKitty, I'm glad you like the route.
AllyourKitty 24 Mar, 2021 @ 9:46am
Very nice little route to run some Southern Steam on.
