Yeah, those are meant for the half life 2 models, they don't properly work on anything else.

default face should be achieved by clicking the "clear" preset, the top left of the picture presets

You cannot make both eyes move in different directions unless the model is built that way

You can however use these console commands to shift eyes on all models, making them look in different directions.
r_eyeshift_x
r_eyeshift_y
r_eyeshift_z
Should work with any model the default faceposer works with
