Hi! I just downloaded your mod and noticed a typo in the crafting recipe. The Advanced and Archotech Charge Rifles are mispelled as 'Rifel', both in the recipe and in the item name.

just as a side, i was hoping there could be a rule that forbids colonists from using masterwork+ gladius. i've had colonists take a masterwork (insert gladius or composite gladius) and try to use it as craftng material. sucks that i have to forbid the items just to make sure they dont use them by accident.

i use the infusions mod, so the weapons often have better stats the higher the quality, so even a high quality gladius is valuable to not be used as material

aaahhh, i see. i was worried they were making the weapons from actual random materials. i thought that affected the outcome, but now that you mention it, it makes sense that the results will always be the same.

@Damon_Vi it doesn't matter what material the Unfinished Weapon is read as, the stats are all the same, because it's a non-stuffable weapon.

any chance we can get an update to this mod, allowing to choose/stuff the materials for the weapons? just noticed one of my pawns making a WOODEN composite gladius lol. typically, most melee weapons let you choose the materials for the builds, but this almost is just random luck of the draw.

@BeardedHoneyBadger I never use CE, but then, I can't think of any other mod that would change weapons like that either.

I don't know what it is. This mod doesn't add anything new to the game, it's just an enhanced copy of the standard weapon with higher stats. Most likely you have a compatibility problem, I, for example, did not make a patch for CE.

Ran into a big issue, every time a pawn with the weapons equipped is drafted, the game slows down considerably, freezing up for several seconds before unfreezing for a single second, before freezing again. When I exited and started the game up again, the freezing had been fixed, but the burst fire on the Archotech Charge Rifel are all fired at once, and the logs are reported a LOT of repeated errors.

@BeardedHoneyBadger I've worked in a mod like this in the past (for personal use), and I have verified that the Archotech Charge Lance shoots common bullets.
Given that they are Archotech, I believe they should have according bullets, and I already have it done. How can I send it to you?

I actually had the same idea, but for some of the previous tree, assault rifle and such.

the last spear "archotech" is named incorrectly in the images.

Does quality matter when upgrading? Like if I use a "good" quality charge rifle, will it upgrade to the same quality or is there a chance the upgraded version can be a higher quality?

ok^^ all weapons need some weapon tag to get recognized by dual wield, i dont think it matters which one tho. otherwise only the charge rifle will show up in dual wields configuration window.

yes, only the charge rifle has the <ThingDef ParentName="BaseHumanMakeableGun"> tag as in vanilla game, just like my ranged weapon

i got it from the rimworld modding wiki, which was the first thing popping up when googling weapon tags. where did you look?

i think u just have to look at weapons from the vanilla game, they should have those tags, like "shotgun" or something i guess. and then just give your weapons the appropriate "tag" that already exists ingame. at least that way i understand it.

@Acid Cancer: would you care to add weapon tags to them? i dont know how to, but i think vanilla weapons do have them. its needed so the dual wield mod can recognize them (dont judge me :D)

It would be swell if you added what exactly you are adding to the game with this mod, its stats & stuff. Like when you looke at Vanilla expanded mods, you can see what you are getting exactly. Thx.
