вычисляю дальность по формуле: высота мачты/кол-во рисок на перископе и умножить на 100 или 400 (в зависимости от кратности), и нашел баг. У вас в моде перепутаны кратности - увеличение 1,5 на самом деле соответствует 0,6, а увеличение 6 соответствует 1,5. Т.е при выборе кратности 1,5 цель увеличена как при кратности 6. Следовательно в формуле нужно умножать не на 100 или 400, а на 400 (1,5 кратное) или 1600 (6 кратное). Баг был найден после установки мода реалистик перископ, там убрано увеличение 0,6, и увеличение 1,5 соответствует вашему увеличению 6

@iochan87 посмотри таблицу в папке модификации (steamapps\workshop\content\494840\2435153942), вы можете найти таблицу, для расчета дистанции до цели по визуальному наблюдению.

Примерно заучи сколько средней высоты цель занимает вертикальных рисок в перископе и какая этому соответствует дистанция.

@Sigfan86 @Thinkflight I added a D.F binocular reticle. 7 x 50, but I haven't calibrated it. The game still has binoculars with x4 magnification, and I'm expecting a major update in the future.

Will today's patch help you separate out the UZO from the periscope?

- When binoculars are used in manual mode, from now on an attempt is made to load a fullscreen overlay from such a path: "Images/Periscope Overlays/Binoculars Fullscreen". This allows mods to use a different overlay for the binoculars than for UZO.

Thank you for your message. I am already working on this mod. Additionally, I might be able to add a separate original reticle for the binoculars soon. However, I currently have very little time as I am extremely busy with work. I will likely be able to finish the mod by the upcoming weekend, or it might be postponed for a week until the following weekend.

As of Patch 13:

"- Added periscope and UZO graticule illumination in a dark weather."

Due to this it projects both the default your graticules and your mod's own:

Can someone verify if this in conjunction with Realistic periscope magnification is working in 2024 P11+? I have tried this multiple times and have not been able to get the math to work out.

Working a-ok! The only thing bothering me is a pixel offset at the top and bottom where you can see through those two gaps, but this I've noticed even before the beta

@voskhod есть подозрения, что зависит от резолюции экрана. Поставил Hard, поставил RMS: высота по формуле мачта/риски=hm. А вот с длиной интереснее: hm*риски*1.6= видимая длина судна. По крайней мере я поставил судно заведомо под 90 град. и высчитывал коэффициент, чтобы КУЦ фактический и расчетный совпадали. Пока работает

@hard Hello! I have problems using this mod together with "Realistic periscope magnification". I want to use the historical tables provided in the "more information" link (which are also in games like wolfpack) but the measurement is inaccurate when I compare it. Your tables adjusted to Uboat only divides those values ​​by 1/2 because of the particularity you mentioned. However, the historical charts make a relationship (Mast Height/ Centirads) *.9167 = Range in hm. In UBOAT the most precise formula with the "Realistic periscope magnification" mod is (Mast Height/ Centirads) = Range in hm (which by the way also works in SHV Wos) but it is still not that precise. What am I doing wrong?

If you're on the bridge in first person mode, you can use your binoculars (B)
I suggest improving that view with the style used by artillerymen that has a rangefinding reticule:

Have you thought about adding a choice of filters for the periscope to the mod, for example, for night or evening attacks? I remember in Silent Hunter 5 there was a similar mod with three different filters in the periscope.

Hello! Unfortunately this mod no longer works in the main game due to a recent update changing the look of the periscopes/UZO -- playing this mod with (at the time) the latest update inducing a black screen.

I appreciate you're going to get a flurry of 'Please update' posts (and have already) but if you can find the time and inclination, an update would be a massively appreciated. Thanks!

@wsgenesis, I can't be bothered with discerning AOB by formula. I just observe the superstructure of the target ship until I observe an obvious 90° angle by waiting for the very front of the wheelhouse to go flat.

Now that the vanilla AOB dial functions as it should, once you set 90° left/right, it will continue to track even after the target's AOB changes.

Im using Aligators Real Navigation mod so there is no ship icons on map so most of the time i attack from short distance ( < 3 km) and calculate AOB "on eye. I know there is a formula to calculate AOB using periscopes horizontal scale. Im curious do you use any formula for AOB? And thank you for your crew management video, it was very helpful
