If the bionic/aerotech eyes do happen to pop up, I found this mod which should remove the bionic eye overlay.

Known Issues:
When using prepare carefully, the tail does not change color with the skin on character creation. But once my saves were created, returning to main menu and reloading made the tail the same color as the skin again. Not something that I think I can fix, but it doesn't really break stuff so I'm not concerned.
Wound graphics. Vanilla has wound graphics, which are obviously made for normal human pawns. I was unable to figure out how to change them or relocate them so they don't cause bloody wounds to just float off of a kobold's face. So the best solution I could manage was to find a way to disable them entirely on these kobolds. It's not ideal, but I at least would prefer no wound visuals at all than have a "missing eye" wound just floating at the end of their snout. Bionic eyes might still show up and if they do, they will float in the wrong place, sorry.

With the new update, the body and face textures dont load, which means that characters with that race become invisible. A shame they dont work anymore, i really liked those little wild dog people :RoPDog:

Screw the person below you, no one needs to be a furry to appreciate races that happen to be full of fur and look adorable.

Also.. will there be an option to disable the mod's weapons by chance? Sometimes I enjoy playing the game with vanilla weapons only without the extra content from other mods.

With Prepare Carefully, you don't need the play the scenario to select them. I almost always play crashlanded and play with my own races plus a couple extras.

At some point I need to mess with scenarios more. The only reason they have one at all is because the race I was using as example code at the time had one, so I thought races HAD to have one in order to function. Need to revisit them some time and either remove them or do something with them.

I think i understan what angel_missy90 means,there no scenario for dogbolds(but i was if i'm not wrong,'hungry dogbolds') so you cant start to play with them at begining.Prepare Carefully and Character editor in their UI allow you to generate paws without race restrictions but without those mods,there no chance to play as them at begiging,Because scenarios have race restriction.
I tryed common crashlanded and it generates only humans.I have others race mod such as rimvali and lemolim and they not generates in common scenarios,only in special scenarios that come with those race mods.

So out of curiosity I added the Dogbolds to my current mod list(which is minimal at the moment because I was testing Redwall), then started a new game to make sure I still wasn't having any trouble with the Dogbolds. Since there's been a minor update since the last time I used them and you never know if any update will somehow break something. Still no problem. Their faction was visible and they were selectable in prepare carefully. However I am aware that there is more than one prepare carefully, because some other users have had problems in the past if using one of the unofficial ones. So are you specifically using the official version of EDB Prepare Carefully made by Edbmods and not some other version?

1st. Did you remember to activate the Humanoid Alien Races framework, and make sure that is placed BEFORE all your alien race mods in your mod list? That mistake happens a lot.

2nd. The dogbolds are under "Camerline Collective" for their faction, if I remember correctly. So if you're looking by alphabetical order and immediately scrolling down to D to look for them, they will be in C instead.

In Dogbold_Race.xml find <lifeStageAges>
And under each <minAge></minAge>
add
<soundWounded>Pawn_Warg_Wounded</soundWounded>
<soundDeath>Pawn_Warg_Death</soundDeath>

So attempting to give them warg noises didn't work. it gave this error

XML error: <soundDeath>Pawn_Warg_Death</soundDeath> doesn't correspond to any field in type RaceProperties.

and when i started the game anyway, they still didn't make any sound when killed or injured. And I'm not having any luck finding the RaceProperties that it mentioned.

looking at the code, it looks like humanoids don't normally have a sound for injure and death. I'm gonna see if I can add it and see what happens.

The Japanese kobold is a bipedal dog? That explains why the ones in SAO were dog-goblins.

Fair enough. I assumed it was based off the Japanese interpretation of Kobolds, which are usually shown as bipedal dog things, my mistake, the good part of having it be your own idea is that you aren't restricted by existing ideas, so it'll be neat to see what comes next.

Mythological kobolds are more or less a German goblin or browny. D&D kobolds are a lesser dragon-kin. In my particular set of mods, kobold is a broad term for a number of human-made races, most of them having originally been intended as servants. Since this race does not exist in reality, the lore can be whatever you want to make it since you can not accurately depict something that does not exist.
