I used that to fix calories. I copied and replaced over ONLY the dead animal items.

Sorry dude, I for an unknown reason always linked the thumbnail of this mod to the WWImprovement mod remade in the Orphanage Pack. Sorry again for the... brain to /dev/null.
Thanks for the answers, I looked at the code and in fact, you're right it's different in the core & ends (I thought it was identical to the original one but it's new and different!). I'll play with both then. Thanks for your answers and for your mod!
@CyberSemtex - The main difference probably would be that they are different mods! lol. I didn't even know about that modpack, but it does not include an updated version of ungratefuldead's hunting mod. I am unfamiliar with the trapping and foraging mods in that pack, but this mod I can say for sure adds hunting through the crafting menu where you can use bullets or spears for a chance to get an animal back after foraging for tracks. I am not sure how the other mods function.

Good work!
And thank you everyone for your support.
Bringing back this mod and testing what works and what breaks will make you understand PZ Modding very well.
Happy to see you with us, especially un-bloating Hydrocraft mods that were swallowed up.
Keep it up!
