As the Avorion server allows patch version mismatch when validating client mods I was unable to connect.
"Error while enabling mod: 2439444436 is problematic: Mod 'Extra Ship Classes Core' [2207469437]'s version 1.7.17 doesn't match 'New Mission - Attack Research Base' [2439444436]'s requirement: 1.7.20 to 0.0."
Honestly, it looks like there is also a problem with Steam/Avorion as "Extra Ship Classes Core" wasn't updated on the server side either (was v1.7.18). I'm not sure what caused it - had to redownload all mods and it solved this problem for me
I'm asking because in terms of the games code, the faction you start with doesn't have any enemies (which is why there are no faction wars going on for the starting faction).
So I'm wondering if "enemy" factions are always pirate ones or if they can also be one of the neighbors.
