Err, the "faction relation price offset" is custom to this mod apparently. It adds a *very* generous discount up to 60% off (additive to pawn's social discount), which is why things are so cheap. Is it okay if I add my two cents and ask if you make this discount toggleable or remove it?
Found it under ...ItemRequestWindow.GetOfferPriceImprovementOffsetForFaction but I don't know how to tinker with assemblies

You seem quite buzy, and I'm probably a fool for asking but would it be possible to add an option for transport pods to trade it's content (at a low rate, with factions restrictions, maybe a monthly limit) for faction credit that can be used to reduce the cost, or prepay provisions.

I reinstalled it twice in the middle, but it didn't work. I thought there was no way, but after a while, I opened the request interface and it worked. I think it's because there are too many things stuck, because even the yellow characters didn't jump.Good mod,thanks!

After I click on the resource option in the request, the game will freeze, and after forcibly closing the game and restarting it, it will cause the request interface to always be on the resource option and cannot be switched to other options, such as food and medicinal materials. Even more amazingly, when I open this interface with the developer, there is no error report.

Sometimes the caravan will not refresh, resulting in the material request list always existing but no caravan appearing, even if the required time is always within 1 hour. And this bug will exist until the save is deleted or the save is returned to before the caravan was called.

So I hope there will be an option for players to cancel the caravan request at any time, even if it will consume faction favorability.

Please do add a comment in the description that you need a trading permit to accept a request you made to the empire, I know it makes ABSOLUTE sense but I thought the mod was bugged and I had to come here and read the comments first.

Amazing stuff. Thanks for adding the increase multiplier now I'm restraining myself from exploiting this lolol

If you ever read this message, Mlie, and want to add the multiplier to all prices, perhaps you could also add a flat fee for requesting a caravan. After all, a caravan requires moving men and beasts overland through potentially dangerous areas, and there must be an unavoidable cost associated with that. Otherwise, imagine requesting a caravan to deliver just one berry.

Actually it does not work. I have read the exchange on Mlie Discord that it should work on market value and that he would do something, but there is no change as of now.

It's literally in the mod options ... Increase it to 300% for balancing purposes.

Can we have the option to increase the price multiplier or remove the faction relation discount? I find requesting items from allies is cheaper than visiting settlements, which doesn't feel right.

Would it be an easy to request to ask to expose whatever multiplier is used for price of goods to an accessible def/config? I personally want to crank up the price as I feel it's trivial to order every psytrainer, skilltrainer, and monosword from the empire for not much of a price difference.

(Funnily, at the current rate (x2 cost), VFE empire honors (destroyer of 'x' (better negotiation)) makes it cheaper to request items than to caravan to settlements

I’d like to share my experience. After sending a trade request, there’s a chance that when the other party arrives at my settlement, they are unable to trade the items I requested—sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t. General trading still works fine, but the chance of not being able to trade the requested items is around 65-75%. In these cases, the other party stays for a while before angrily leaving. No error messages appear, and I’m still trying to figure out what might be causing this issue. Thank you to everyone who has worked hard on this MOD.

Only adding FSF No Trading Permit to the modlist breaks it!
Strangely, the FSF mod is only a few patches that removes the title requirement for trading actions. Does this mod depend on there being an existing title requirement?

Okay, dev test with only this mod + harmony + DLCs. Works as probably intended. Works for Knight+, so I don't even need Baron to trade with ships, only need to trade with settlements/caravans, weird. (Bad news for me.)

But when I'm not able to, the text says the same "CannotTrade" but all squiggly, as if it was run through a 'cursed text generator' online, you know?

I might test more with key mods like VFE Empire, FSF No Trading Permit, and others.

I find the Rimworld workshop reminds me a lot of the XCOM workshop. Thousands of mods for every need. I always have 100 QOL mods for the tiniest things and then a few big game changing ones. I love both communities.

For context, my pawn that used the trader (my only pawn) is a baron, so he can trade with anything normally. A bit dumb of me not to mention that, haha.

I can't request anything from the empire (CannotTradeMissingTitleAbility) which I cannot figure out. Especially odd is that the only other relevant mods I use are VFE Empire and a simple mod that disables title requirements for trading.

Don’t sell (penned) animal to the requested caravan, unless you want your doors/walls destroyed and your other penned animals wandering off. The caravan will think they are enclose the moment you sell them the animal, and leave immediately, and the sold animals will start digging their way out by destroying doors in their way. At least, pay for the requested items before making the sell, because the option to pay disappears when they decide to leave.

is it possible for "artifact" items to be purchased through this service, or is it all locked by tech-level? so i'd be able to get stuff like archotech bodyparts without needing an archotech level faction to trade with.

The mod itself is great, just missing one important element: The prices the NPC faction offer do not take storyteller trade difficulty into consideration. I always play with maximum trade difficulty 50%, yet items offered via this mod is still so cheap.

I even think the price can be much higher than vanilla merchants, for you can get most what you need, plus the delivery fee.

Is it intended for ordered items to come with a random quality? I think it would be better if they defaulted to normal if we can't choose the quality when ordering things

Yeah as long as I don't touch or close or interact at all with the notification thingy on the left the one that says "your caravan just arrived..." then I can receive the items no problem so I guess that'll have to do for now...

Yup I'm getting the "1 hours til the trader arrives" but the trader is already on my main map yet the button to "complete trade" to receive my stuff is not there...

I'm getting no logs that I can see I'll try and give you some data so you can work on something but I have nothing because the Hugslibs CRTL+F12 is giving me an unexpected error when uploading -_-

Does anybody know what mods this is not compatible with? For some reason, when a trader enters the map, they keep infinite spawning and standing there. I unstalled the mod and it stopped.

The merchant has arrived, but the supply list shows that it will take an hour to arrive, and the merchant does not have a shipping button, only normal buying and selling.

hey can you add in an option to view "no materials" and make that a default please? there isn't a option to select no materials which causes the game to lag a lot for those that use mods that adds in stuff made with different materials.

@元相 If you have many items added by other mods yes. You can use the selectors to limit the viewed items. Its not slow in my tests however.
