Darn I solved 3 wrong

Although the map has some quirks, I quite enjoyed this one! I find maps where the solution can be completely changed with minimal tweaks interesting. And this one explores it quite well! For me, I enjoyed Puzzles 1 and 3 the most Really cool timing move for puzzle 3, especially. Nice Track Platform usage to. Both as a tool but also an obstacle for these 4. Faved!

I wanted to post the same comment 4 times in a row to fit the theme of the map but I decided to not do it :steammocking:

This was an interesting map overall and it was a lot of fun  Favorited !

@molecules du mal That's part of the surprises mentioned in the description! Just keep playing and all will end well :]

Yea, replayed, keeps happening before the top

For some reason when both cubes are on the buttons in the first puzzle, when you take the portal up the cubes reset.

@DemonMathTeacher Thank you :D Nice work solving the whole map!
DemonMathTeacher 9 Feb, 2022 @ 8:45am
Great puzzle(s)! I really liked that the last two used the same room but with reversed funnels! Very creative!
Spider_Dawg 1 Jan, 2022 @ 8:13pm
It looks as though the frame rate is too much for my video card to handle and frames are dropped, causing very choppy game play. Very difficult to aim quickly, since the crosshairs jump all over and by the time I get it where I need it, it's too late. It's not every map, most play just fine, but this one was quite difficult. Still fun tho!
Mikeastro  [author] 1 Jan, 2022 @ 2:33pm
@Spider_Dawg Thanks for playing! Excellent working solving all of them in the end, in spite of the timed nature of some solutions. How curious that my puzzles specifically seem to give your system some trouble D: I have no idea what might cause that... Happy New Year to you too :]
Spider_Dawg 1 Jan, 2022 @ 1:56pm
Great puzzle once again! I solved all 4 more or less the same as lapicidas' videos. My only complaint is that due to poor RAM, or cheap video card, or whatever reason, some of your puzzles play so poorly on my system that my mouse response is so bad that I have trouble pulling off some of those portal shots in time. Thank Valve for F6/F7. On the last room I thought I had it figured out, only to find after about the 12th attempt that I was wrong! Fortunately the correct solution was much easier, so it only took me a few more tries to get to the exit. Thumbs up for sure! Happy New Year!

@SunnyOst Thanks for playing! I guess you must have been relieved that there weren't four rooms :P Glad you liked it!
SunnyOst 12 Dec, 2021 @ 2:18pm
Wow, ok. This was a lot. I wasn't mentally prepared to have a second room :D This is a very interesting setup and somehow you managed you squeeze every single drop of it, very impressive! Great map!:cleancake:

Very very sneaky indeed. As discussed on the stream, this would make for a fantastic hammer remake with the chamber adapting itself with each bit of progress made

Oops, I forgot to comment. Excellent puzzle, definite thumbs up. I tried this map soon after it was published, but didn't manage to complete the first puzzle and it's been in my queue ever since. I'm really pleased I came back to it :)
Mikeastro  [author] 21 May, 2021 @ 6:28am
@Benzolamps That was supposed to happen! This puzzle consists of two rooms, and both change after you have solved them the first time, to give you a second puzzle in the same space, all for free :cozycrashfish:
Benzolamps 21 May, 2021 @ 5:55am
i found a strange bug, when i make the final portal surface available, and shoot the funnel on it, almost reach the door surface, and the two cubes decomposed, the final portal surface flipped, that was strange.:steamsad:
Mikeastro  [author] 13 May, 2021 @ 8:25am
@SteemStream Thanks for playing! I'm happy to hear that you managed to complete it in the end. I can see why that might have given you the wrong idea. Still, I hope you enjoyed it :]
SteemStream 13 May, 2021 @ 1:09am
Ah ok, I finally finished this one :) I realized why I had been so tripped up on sequence 3 Since the first two puzzles didnt have any respawning of cubes to be useful, I completely discounted that idea for so long, I had to come back to it to realize my mistake. Perhaps sequence 1 and 2 conditioned me to not think about the respawning advantages :)
Mikeastro  [author] 2 May, 2021 @ 3:06pm
@*|PEZ|* Venima Thanks for playing! Indeed, it can be a bit tricky to work out the solutions, so excellent work! I'm glad you enjoyed it :]
*|PEZ|* Merivio 2 May, 2021 @ 1:02pm
I thought I had to do one side first, then the other side. In reality I had to do the other side first, then the one side. Somehow, I liked the design of this a lot.
Narkodes 23 Apr, 2021 @ 5:45am
In the past, you had several maps with a similar setup - it allowed to spawn 2 cubes in the beginning of a map, as first step so to speak. Both connected to one ped button. Maybe I'm totally wrong about that, but that's what my memory says and what I associate with "classic Mikeastro".
Mikeastro  [author] 23 Apr, 2021 @ 5:14am
@Nobody No-One Thanks a lot for playing! It's always nice to hear from you. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and that you found the original solution to room 4. It is interesting what you call ''classic Mikeastro'' - I am quite honoured to be associated with all those nice concepts :]
Nobody No-One 22 Apr, 2021 @ 8:44pm
Also this felt very classic Mikeastro with all the symmetry and sort of "mathematical" feel to it.
Nobody No-One 22 Apr, 2021 @ 8:43pm
Very cool concept. My solution for puzzle 4 was a bit more elaborate than Omega's, so hopefully I found the intended method. Thumbs up as always.
Mikeastro  [author] 19 Apr, 2021 @ 3:47pm
@Čolibri Thank you so much :D I'm very happy to hear that you enjoyed it. Indeed, none of them are easy at all, so excellent work solving it!
Čolibri 19 Apr, 2021 @ 8:24am
The first puzzle is not the hardest; they are all the hardest! :magicone:
Simple and original design, for hellish puzzles. Favorite :lunar2020hearteyesrabbit:
Mikeastro  [author] 16 Apr, 2021 @ 1:14pm
@•‹†ρđ› ĐūšР2ķ• Thank you :D
@Leo Thanks! Indeed, I think the first puzzle is the 'hardest', because the player still needs to get familiar with where exactly the problems come from. And I'm glad you appreciated the second room, I was quite pleased with how that one worked out as well :] I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed it!
Leo 16 Apr, 2021 @ 7:57am
A funny and clever puzzle! The 1st sequence took me ages to figure out, maybe I needed time to get used to the setup. I think I enjoyed the twist between sequences 3 and 4 the most, because it's quite impressive how you managed to create a layout that works both with a blue or an orange funnel. Also I loved how the floor flip panel is still useful at the end, even though you might think you don't need it anymore since you already pressed that pedestal button. All in all, it's a very creative map, and of course I do appreciate that :)
•‹†ρđ› ĐūšР2ķ• 6 Apr, 2021 @ 6:37am
Nice mapke Mike!
Mikeastro  [author] 6 Apr, 2021 @ 3:59am
@Omega Thank you once more for all the videos! Puzzle 2 and 3 were exactly as I had in mind. Your solution for the last one is slightly different, but you didn't do anything funny... I will think about a way to counter that, but for the time being, it is a worthy alternative! I hope you enjoyed the map regardless :]
Mikeastro  [author] 6 Apr, 2021 @ 1:47am
@jandlml Excellent work solving the whole thing! Indeed, the first puzzle introduces most of the difficulties that you will encounter; after that, it's just applying those ideas to slightly different situations :] I'm happy to hear that you liked it in the end!
@Omega A perfect solution! Thanks a lot for the video :D

yay! i got through it ! A little sneaky change on that last level. once i finally got through that first level it definitely helps with the next ones. excellent map! As always !! :steamhappy:
jandlml 5 Apr, 2021 @ 5:57pm
thanks mikaestro im at the third level second went quick [knowing what to do from the first round] so we will see how quickly i can get through the rest of the map. :steamhappy:

@klaus.sfc01 Thanks for playing! Excellent work solving it. I understand your mixed thoughts; it's a bit of a strange map.
@lapicidas Much better :D Thank you once more for the video! Fully intended!

klaus.sfc01 5 Apr, 2021 @ 9:06am
interesting concept and a map which took me way to long to solve but nice i guess i have mixed feelings about this
Mikeastro  [author] 5 Apr, 2021 @ 7:10am
@lapicidas Thank you very much once more for the videos! Indeed, your solution to puzzle 3 was fully intended. Quite impressive how you can get all the timings to work out so well, without even looking! Puzzle 4 was indeed unintended - I keep forgetting that you can grab a falling cube when using those half panels :steamfacepalm: Thanks for letting me know, I will fix it soon. Now to find the intended solution... :D
lapicidas 5 Apr, 2021 @ 6:32am
But definitely now in the last puzzle (chamber two - puzzle four):

Probably no internet fake points again :steamsad:
Mikeastro  [author] 5 Apr, 2021 @ 4:16am
@jandlml My apologies if the concept can be a little confusing at first. If you just keep reaching for the next obvious goal, everything will unfold by itself :]
@lapicidas Thank you very much for the video! Both your solutions were intended, so I'm afraid no fake internet points will be awarded :P I hope you will enjoy the second room as well!
@Aneonen Thanks a lot for playing! I'm glad you could appreciate the symmetry, and I agree with you about the timing things, but as you said, with a concept like this, it's hard to avoid. Your unintended solution is most cunning! I had no idea that would be possible, and I wonder if there's anything clean I can do to prevent that... Still, you will get 4 fake internet points. Please use them wisely :]
Aneonen 4 Apr, 2021 @ 11:04pm
Nice puzzle! I really enjoyed the (pseudo-)symmetry, and I think the vertical platforms played well into that. It was cool to see some small move strings with the cubes being reused in different contexts. Agree that the timing/cube placement felt a bit tight at times, but largely felt necessary to have the type of moves present in the first place.

As for unintended, once I switched to the pull funnel, I was able to place a cube right next to a floor button, press myself against its vertical platform, pull the cube over it, and then yoink myself through before the platform had time to realize it needed to get out of there. I went back and did it properly after that.

finally got to the second round phew

well im extremely stuck. is there supposed to be a way to flip the panel on the wall under the exit. it looks like a flippanel but doesnt have signage
Mikeastro  [author] 4 Apr, 2021 @ 6:14pm
@Nui♥Harime™ I'll take a perfect score any day :]
@SpKi Thanks for playing! I'm happy to hear that you liked it. Indeed, I can imagine some of the things you mentioned can be mildly annoying, and some awkwardness is hard to avoid. Still, I'm glad you enjoyed it overall :D
@Narkodes The prophecy came true... almost :P
