Is there any way you can add also the unused audios of the administrator and the bots, like their steps and map entry sounds? Vid for exaple https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyK8SKbRQho&t=304s :steamthumbsup:

Fwiw, you can't jump to early conclusions when Valve is involved. I've been burned countless times before by trusting Valve to have done things correctly. They never do. Most recently this was on procedurally driven model flexes, before that it was with post-VRAD radiosity calculations at runtime, and before that it was with incorrect published studiomdl limits, and so on... Never trust Valve. They are sloppy and lazy, and while I am not intimately familiar with the mechanism that drives character responses in TF2, if it was made by Valve, then it will be made like shit like everything else. My advice is to not assume Valve is flawless, and instead commit the unfortunately necessary slog of personally verifying every line of all relevant code and schema, before committing to the assumption.

I'd be hesitant to unilaterally rule that out without actually inspecting Valve's rat's nest of code first. I've played at least 244 (successful) missions on Manhattan. To my recollection, I've only heard that Heavy voice line once, which was during a mission near the start of January. Of course, I wasn't hunting for the sound line in those 244+ games, but this indicates it is a very rare event and thus the parameters for reproducing it may not be well understand. Now, I don't remember the circumstances exactly, but iirc the line played when my team was losing horribly and had missed over $200 or $300 for the wave (which was wave 3 or 4 I believe). I don't know if you have already tested this, but if you have not, I recommend trying your tests again with those parameters.

I've gone to Mannhattan and attempted to repro it to no success. Aside from one Soldier and Medic line, none of the other money-related lines play in the latest build of TF2. The game code does not call the encourage money concept as well, so it should be impossible for this line to play for anyone during normal play.

I only play MvM in Mann Up mode, never on boot camp or community servers. This was an official Valve server. If have a copy of the leaked TF2 sources (not that I encourage that) and enough time and patience to dig through Valve's hideous code and schemas, you could probably find out what causes that Heavy line to trigger as rarely as it does.

Was this in an official server or a third-party one (ie. Potato.tf)? Iirc those servers tend to have a lot of QoL fixes so it wouldn’t surprise me if they’ve reimplemented some unused lines there.

I witnessed the "we must collect money!" Heavy line about 2 months ago on Manhattan. It really surprised me because I could not remember the last time I had heard it ingame. Perhaps, in typical Valve fashion with their hideous patchwork of building ugly hacks on top of their old ugly hacks, there an out-of-place chunk of logic in the wrong place which is making this voice line trigger.

The submission has both encourage money and money pickup responses. Heavy doesn’t have an entry for encourage money cause he had no ‘fitting’ lines for it.

I’m not sure how you were able to hear the Heavy money line given the current version of TF2 has no such response rule for anyone other than Soldier.

I'm a little confused by these things:

"All tanks in official MvM missions seem to drop money, so I figured this was an appropriate workaround to this response never triggering normally"
Does this addon include making Heavy say "we must collect money!" and the other classes' equivalent lines? I have heard Heavy (rarely) yell that in Manhattan, which has no tanks, so I'm confused if this addon is trying to (re)add those lines in when they are already used or if it is adding them to other situations.
