Just a hint, combining your mod with Tenemo's Large uninhabitable galaxy + Slow expansion shows excellent conditions.
I loved Pode's Pre-FTL and you did a good (located a bit later on timescale) adoption of his basic theories.
I used it with real space about a year ago, then it worked fine if I'm not mistaken. Not 100% sure right now. If I wasn't a lazy procrastinator, I would have tested it with a couple more popular mods like I was planning for months. :/
@Hjack9090
I was trying to make clearing nation state blockers event-based. Then you could have done it through peaceful accession talks, through economic-diplomatic coercion, or through war (or the threat of it). But these events ate up performance horribly. I'm not a good modder.
Now I'm looking into using the situation mechanism to give some lore and story to planetary unification.
Right now, you can pretty much imagine whatever lore you want (breaking rival powers up, having them aligned with you, invading them...).
@whenwe.serbie.65
Also I'm kinda confused on what "clearing a nation blocker" implies, like lore wise.
Thanks & sorry for the late reply. I couldn't figure the compatibility out (likely not because it's complicated; I just haven't had enough time). I'll come back to this problem.
Until then, a quick update to make it compatible with Overlord & the recent patches.
Glad to hear the problem is solved and that you like the mod. :)
It may be completely unrelated, but one issue I was having is that the Paradox Launcher, when opened from the desktop or the taskbar, did indeed not show any of the mods, playsets, and maybe not even all the DLCs that I had downloaded. Not even the dop-down bar where I could select a playset. I have not the faintest effin' idea why. Spooky.
But when I started the game from the Paradox app, then everything worked fine. Maybe try that too.
In the meantime I had a buddy of mine checked it for me; for him it appeared and worked properly. I will soon ask someone who is not yet subscribed to also check it.
(Based on your profile I would guess you are well-versed in the Paradox Launcher and it's not just that you haven't found where to add mods to playsets, right?)
Btw., I'm glad you like the mod's concept!
That's... really odd. I'm looking into it right now.
Glad you like it!
In the future I'd love to make dealing with nation states on Earth more interactive (e.g. events and options when you try to annex them, and even some random ones). But that's a lot of work, and I never ever managed to properly mod events. So it probably won't happen this year.
I would suggest that you check the mod's Addendum though! (If you haven't yet.) There are a couple more empires there: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2447462491
@1Fieldmedic
Yes, ecology mod was one of my favourites and a major source of inspiration. Making the two compatible is a great idea, but I'm not sure when I will have the time for that. Possibly not in 2021.
@SKS
I appreciate that you remained polite when voicing your issues with the way I'm characterising China and other countries. In turn I also will remain polite: your points about China not being authoritarian and xenophobic appear to clash with non-controversial facts regarding China's political system and policies in minority regions. Unfortunately, I doubt we will convince each other.
@Imperialis
HD: not sure how that's done.
As for the quality: some blurring was necessary because an unblurred satellite image would "fulgurate" (is that the word? sparkle?) as the planet rotates. The small, stand-alone city lights cause this.
If you find it that ugly I will go back to and experiment with it, but likely not very soon.
Can you make it HD and a singular color?
You are most welcome. :)
Here you are: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2549774917
It's unlisted and won't be linked together with my other mods, but it should work with other mods that change clothes.
Don't get me wrong, I like the outfits but they interfere with the Federation Builders: Uniforms which adds these trekky style federation uniforms to federations and I love them a heck of a lot.
Thanks for @Brisbane Socialist for for making some good points about the matter.
Hi, no, unfortunately there isn't.
I will make one eventually, but I'm not very handy with events (especially with ones with actual impact), and had little time to practice recently.
Thank you sir. :)
Still yet to found out how I create collections...
