@Arcturus Unfortunately, yes. Kenshi treats headlessness as an injury when it comes to stats.

I was curious about Plank. Hadn't played Kenshi in a while and decided to boot it up again, doing a Skeleton-only run deep in HN territory because I like pain.

Does Plank get debuffs towards things like ranged since he has no head?

@PlantedPuppet99
Yeah that's my custom character, I forgot to remove him from this version. The initial idea was to have two characters have a sort of back and forth dialogue. With one talking in morse and the other one responding in English, usually disapprovingly. I got the idea from Eyegore's dialogue with the samurai accompanying him, but instead of gibberish it would be morse that actually stood for real dialogue.

I don't remember why I stopped working on the second character, though I did finish most of Plank's initial dialogue.

I have had an odd experience and i want to know if it is related to this mod. I ran into a character in the black desert city named "Plank", just like the weapon. He is a headless thrall who talks in Morris code. When i looked him up, there was no mention of him, but vanilla says there is no headless thrall character that is playable. help me??

I'm trying to get a Skeleton army together. On my travels, I've only found 2 that were recruit-able.
So it would have been a very tiny army.
With hope and this MOD installed, I'll be able to get some more. Then I'll start attacking the Holy Nations for their unjust hatred of my metallic friends.
Once they're dealt with, then it's onto stopping the slave trading.
Am I becoming a megalomaniac? No... Not really.... ;-))...
"Victory for the Droids R Us army! I didn't say that. Honest..." :steamfacepalm:

Does this have Logheads and Soldierbots in the potential pool of recruits? If not would you consider making most of the Skeleton types available?

I really enjoy your mod and it made it possible to make my all Skeleton town! Now I do need to mention that with this mod installed all the folks in the Flats Lagoon inn started to sit in the lake under the town, I'm not sure if it was a mod conflict but it corrected after removing and at the time I didn't have anything else installed that modified that particular town. They all just sit down there, sauna style, bitching about the ashlands. Thought I'd just let you know! XD

If the recruit-able companions replenished then yes I could see why that might be considered overpowered. However, once you clean a bar out...that's it..they dont come back. Unless you import your game then recruit-able companions replenish from the list, which vanilla is like 5% in the swamp area and some other areas. Basically it only pulls a x number of npcs from a several different lists, and each list has a number of potential recruits AND in those lists each character has a % to be pulled. Which is around 5% for skeletons on a handful lists, which is why you can go an entire playthrough without seeing a generic skeleton recruit due to multiple layers of rng.

TS2714 has a guide if you're looking to learn how to mod skeletons or just get your feet wet on modding. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/8765238-how-to-make-skeleton-recruits-very-common/ .

If you're still interested I'll create a nerfed version later this week.

This mod is great for my skeleton only run, but it is a bit overpowered imho. Maybe create a 2nd one which adds between 0-3 skeletons in some cities or outposts that are more friendly towards skeletons while having a higher chance for Black Desert City and World's End? I might give it a shot in doing this, but I gotta learn how to use the modding tool first :lunar2019piginablanket:

One thing I should note is that you might have issues getting it to play nice with genesis. Since Genesis overrides a lot of world states and NPCs.

Nice idea thanks
