So, directly subscribing to this mod leads to a CTD in Inbound
More specifically, a crash happens when passing by the heli in bm_c0a0b

Moving the mod to bms/custom does seem to temporarily solve the issue

When I use this mod, it seems if a barney does an execution on a zombie while following you, he will stop following after. This is noted in known issues, but I would definitely try to find a fix for this issue.

OMG THANK YOU the security guards feel badass i saw em get grab by a zombie only for him to shoot it in the chest just like bmbs and they dont act dumb anymore in combat

I have BMCE, BMCER and BMCERA installed and the We've Got Hostiles guard/zombie scene - both actors now exit the scene without noticeably popping out of existence is broken becouse they disappear

I think this mod makes the shotgun security guard that follows you to the base of the rocket in On A Rail change face. When I went down to retract the platforms he had a mustache and no helmet. When I came back upstairs and he was dying, he had a helmet on and a more default-looking face. I think the entity switches while you're away and it must be getting switched with a default face mesh. Is there any way to fix this inconsistency?

the mod is now suddenly working for me! i didnt even do anything different just out of nowhere on my 50 billionth playthrough of black mesa i noticed the choreography mod working as intended!

Yeah it has gotten beyond worse, if you load maps via the console that feature HECU npcs well the textures are completely broken and they will stretch in every direction, and you try to kill em the game will crash

Idk if this is a problem with other mods I have like BMCE, but I've been having an issue with the scientist in the security office in the end of WGH. Whenever he does the 'Quote-Unquote' gesture with his hands, it always comes a solid 1 or 2 seconds after he actually says "containment."

And on certain Chapter Overhauls, it crashes the game, the chapters being Lambda core overhaul, also Office complex too I think, the area where the female scientist gets dragged in by a vent zombie can no longer be loaded by saves, if you load it from a save or die, the NPCs are completely broken, they cannot move and their faces become contorted.

Yeah for some reason if you use BMCE or BMCE:R the game crashes on certain scripted events

Top notch work my dude, i only came for the CPR animation but looking forwards to see the other animations.
If you ever plan on expanding this mod, maybe have the security guard wake up too like if HL1, since for some reason CC did not include that.
Also i found a bug with the vanilla animation were the guard opens his eyes after a few miniuts and even starts blinking.

The scenes where HECU play gestures are broken? The animations don't play in WGH and QE from my testing. Is it because of BMCE and or BMCER?

did a FULL re install of the game and this mod. still no differences between this mod and base game outside of crashes and guards shooting less.

Yep I have the same issue, but this time with WGH, the ragdolls bug out and it gets so fucking cursed to the point where the game crashes

Seems like this most recent update caused an incompatibility with BMCE:R to arise. The guard you meet in Questionable Ethics freaks the hell out and glitches it's animations like crazy, crashing the game. Also causes a crash after the 'its latin' HECU scene in QE once the soldiers are in the elevator.

So I tested out this addon, and the only thing that doesn't work is the On a Rail guard death animation. I don't know if it's just me or if other people are having this problem or not.

guards often stop shooting entirely and stand around doing nothing under zombie attacks. none of the animations for the HECU conversation at the end of On a Rail are applied, in fact i dont think ANY animation fixes are applied in most cases. and YES. i DID do the manual installation. the few other mods i manually installed work eprfectly fine so i know its not my Custom directory or game info text.

Heh don't worry, i was just curious to know if that was on my end or the game. Too bad they are unfixable, they are really bad with shotguns.

they're just kind of useless no matter what, for some reason their AI is unable to make use of any animations that would let them shoot and reload on the run even if one adds them in

Damn, that's some hell of a customer service.

Alright jokes aside thank you for the fixes, tested all the issues i mentionned and it seems that everything works now.

on the side note, one last question, not directly related to your mod but since you're playing black mesa right now.
The guards that use shotguns like the one that hide in a office in "On A Rail", is it just me or a they really stupid ? Like they can't shoot when they take damage and they can't run and gun, they have to stand completly still to shoot. But they mostly run around and cower instead of fighting most of the time, especially against xen creatures.
I have tested this with vanilla animations as well.
Just asking to be sure if it's the game or if that's on my end.

I just tested it, i don't know if it's intended but yeah, when the security guards shoot their pistol while moving, they play the unarmed jogging animation so they shoot without aiming, it look a little goofy. But now at least they do indeed run and gun.

Also another thing i saw while playing, but i'm pretty sure it's a vanilla problem, is that when the guard reload his pistol, if he move while reloading, it cancels the reload, so he has to be completly still or he will be stuck reloading his weapon forever.

One last thing, i think it's intentional but, the guard you have to save in office complex when attacked by his buddy turned zombie, normally he would kick him away before retreating. With this mod he just turn around and does nothing before getting killed.

One of the biggest bummer from this mod to me is that the new animations prevent the security guard from shooting while moving, something he can do with vanilla animations, which nerf him a bit, especially against ennemies with ranged attack like marines or vortigaunt, or fast moving hostiles like headcrab.

I don't know if a fix is possible from the creator.

You can just shoot the zombie, he gets killed easily in the vanilla game if you dont help him

The sequence behind the bars in Office Complex is broken now, the guard cannot protect himself from his "buddy" and gets easily killed, thus locking out the shotgun. He had an animation in the last version of the vanilla game, kicking the zombie. Could you restore that animation?

Question, does this mod do anything to the guard behind the fence door in Office Complex? At some point he simply stopped ducking to avoid the zombie's first strike, making him die at the second. Not sure if it's this mod that causes it.
Either way, awesome work. Definitely adding to my "must have" mod list.

I see the dynamic interaction has been re-implemented, however I think the CP animations added awhile back is what's causing the guards to flee when zombies get close as opposed to standing their ground which makes the interaction harder to play out. I also don't know if there's some parameter that could make the interaction happen more but if there is one I think it'd be good to increase the chance.

To fix the security guard issues:
1) Open [ImprovedChoreo].vpk with VPKEdit
2) Navigate to [ImprovedChoreo] -> models
3) Delete police_animations.mdl

That said, I have noticed a bug with the We've Got Hostiles "Silo Doors" scene, where the Guard Zombie keeps attacking the invisible guard instead of wandering back to the window and smacking the coffee cup like in Vanilla. I assume that this is an issue introduced after the Necro Update, so is there any chance you can look into this and correct it?

These are incredible! One of my biggest problems with Black Mesa was how strung together a lot of animations felt, changing abruptly between one motion and the next. But all the work put into this pack really makes a difference, absolutely a necessity if you're a stickler for immersion.
