would it be possible to make a number count of zombies killed under the watch or in the bottom corner of the screen like the left side and make a number count of zombies alive? I wanna like make a game/save and kill every zombie on the map.

Yes indeed, tried both of your versions of the mod and I am not getting the window. Tried rebinding the key to all sorts of different ones, still no pop up. Very few mods installed that might conflict but just for clarity; I have the Firearms B41.61 mod, Anti-bodies and Zombie Virus Vaccine.

Strange, how is the guy who posted from only a week ago getting it to work then? It should indeed work even on characters that previously existed, right?

It used to work. Could be a lot changed with some of the latest patches and I need to revisit it.

IF I get time I will, but changed jobs since writing this and time is harder to find now.

Cant resize window.. you should fix.. I cant see anything except Zombies killed (total).

Unfortunately not an issue I can reproduce here. I'll update my version of the game and see what happens. Maybe try a separate save and check for mod conflicts just in case.

Love the mod but I can't resize its window. There's a little triangle in the bottom right as though I should be able to resize it but I can't. With it's current default size I cannot see anything more than "Zombies Killed" and the top half of the (Total). I'm running the game in 4K if that affects anything?

Great mod! Is there a way you could add "Killed Today" to the mod, so I know how "productive" my day was?

Yeah, I’m pretty confident there’s no way to introduce vehicle kill counts via LUA. You’d have to interact directly with the Java of the game which would require decompiling and I’m pretty sure that’s a no-go.

I imagine the devs will cover updating the kill counter themselves at some point.

Awesome mod...shame it doesn't count vehicle kills. I am sure that could be modded in some way...but it would probably be hacky as hell and not worth it.

I don't really know any way a zombie can die without player input so the game should simply just count total number of zombie deaths...regardless of method. Even if the number is not "accurate" it's a lot better than a weapon only count.

@vin, there’s no “mechanical” reason why that would be within the mod. It’s even programmed to check itself periodically to refresh incase it missed a kill.

I.e. If it’s not refreshing, there’s something outside this mod going wrong. If you’ve got other mods running, I suspect there’s a conflict.

I dunno why, but after around 1k kills it stops counting "other" kills and gets stuck at 1k requiring me to open player menu for it to update.

I had Kill Counter working for some time, added on an existing save, but now shows only 0 and don't count anymore, probably a mod conflict i coudn't trace back yet.

I've now been using your addon for a few weeks now, and I did have (self-inflicted) issues at the start. So I wanted to give you an update:

It's superb. It works like a charm, and it's so very interesting to see the two types of death counter like this. Thank you so much!

I’ll check it, but I’m fairly confident I’ve imported it into existing saves before. I know others have been successful at that too.

Ok, so I went in and checked to see if there were any errors when loading the game. I saw none. I also died (not your fault, ;-) ) When I launched the new game, low and behold, there's the counter. So there's something about getting it to load in a save that already exists?

Not at the moment. There’s no event triggered when a zombie dies from a vehicle collision in the current IWBUMS build. I suspect it’s a bug that they’ll iron out eventually (vehicle kills often counted in Build 41 stable).

Do any error alerts pop up in the lower right corner of your screen after enabling the mod or whilst loading the save game? These look like a red box with a number in it.

I originally commented this in a play-through video on Youtube. I am having a hard time getting this counter to display on my screen.

I've got the v0.8.0 and IWBUMS/v0.8.4 installed, I think? I start the game via Steam, go to Mods, enable the IWBUMS version ( screen shot [imgur.com]), back, continue game - but no mapping option nor does hitting right control do anything. Am I doing something wrong? I've installed Pillow's Spawn mod, but other than that, vanilla.

Ahh okay, that's good to know (about using them together on a new playthrough). Well, with my track record of not surviving, it won't be that long before I'm doing another playthrough, so I'll add it MDB then.

I just tested it with Minimal Display Bars (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2004998206) myself and the AKC tab appears behind the MDB UI and it can be dragged to somewhere else on the screen.

This is on starting a new game though, so I'm going to modify the issue to say that AKCPZ doesn't import into saves that are already using MDB. Though I'll test that myself too at a later date.

I can't see a way to edit my previous comment, so here's the update:


I was right about it being the Minimal Display Bars mod. Basically, I did what I said I'd do - created another playthrough with all my mods bar Minimal Display Bars, and AKC appears. So, I then loaded up my 'problem' save and dragged MDB away from the corner, hit Right-CTRL but nothing still.


It's looking like MDB lays claim to that corner and holds on tight, I think - in my case, anyway. I hope this info's useful to you for future issues that might crop up, and I appreciate your time. :)

Hi again!

Righto, I disabled all my mods apart from AKC (such a sensible suggestion) but when I kick-started the game the mods were still enabled.

So, I then started a new playthrough with just AKC and it works. What I'm thinking is that the healthbars one (Minimal Display Bars) sits in the exact same corner of the screen - top left corner. What I'll do is set up another playthrough with all of my mods except for MDB, and see if that works. If it's that that's clashing, then at least we know for future, eh? :)

If possible, it'd be easiest to disable all of them and only run the mod. Then, if it doesn't appear still, it has to be a problem with this mod.

If, however, it does appear, then that means it *could* be an interaction with another mod that's causing the issue.

Can you confirm that you're running version 41.50 on the zomboid beta build too please?

I've not seen (or heard) of this one happening before.

Typically, the window would appear in-game in the top left corner, next to the status GUI elements.

Are you running any other mods alongside it? If possible, I'll see if I can reproduce the error and go from there.

Hi! Looks like a great mod - thanks! But how do I get it to display in game? Right-CTRL doesn't do anything, and it doesn't show up in Keybindings.

I'm thinking it can't be because I'm trying to add it to an existing playthrough, because CA on YT has just started using it on a 7-month-long existing playthrough. So, it must be me. Any help would be appreciated.
