After some troubleshooting I think this mod causes a gamebreaking bug when you play as a Landless Adventurer.

Does the introduction of title legitimacy also *remove* the normal legitimacy mechanic, or is it just on top?

how does this interact with legitimacy added by the free patch of Legends of Dead? Do you suggest a load order?

Yep after further tests it was that mod thats making it grey out.

the one on title window all of them are grayed out. I guess i thought one needs to be selected like on ur screen shot ill play around again to see

authority laws shouldn't appear on the realm window, in which case yeah it's a GUI conflict
and on the title window, you can't select authority yourself, it's automatically set depending on ruler legitimacy + title legitimacy

the authority select is greyed out for me whenever i have this mod probably a mod conflict.

Yep, should work fine then, but let me know if it doesn't.

There'll be another update tomorrow with some more UI fixes, and I'm starting to expand on functionality, like a penalty to title legitimacy (so lower authority) when you own less than 75%/50% of the De Jure counties of a title.

I'll try to gate those changes behind gamerules when I can, so people can try with and without and see what feels best.

Nah, this was about a week or two ago, when I last played with the mod, so if it's something that has been fixed/changed recently it should be fine. I was just wondering if I had missed something.

@Zarathustra that should have been removed in yesterday's patch, because it's a bit broken.
Check in the descriptor.mod if you have version 3.0.1, if you don't you can unsub/resub or force an update through the launcher iirc, to get the latest version.

When it says "You can only create title X by granting it to vassal X"... is there actually a way to do this? I don't seem to be able to.

Title Realm Law is, or should as I can't see it, the third selection on the title management screen in the main photo for this mod. When I enabled the mod to see if it worked, it seems it didn't show up.

*sees that it hasn't updated* *pulls out calculator* so if a Stik weekend is 4 regular months long...that's two months per day...that means that the update that comes "later today" is likely around....2 weeks? Give or take? (I kid Stik. You're amazing and I appreciate all you do for CK3!)

I think the easiest way to fix this would be to add the option to make the title anyway and go to war with vassals who oppose you, then have the title destroyed if you lose and the vassals made independent

the vassal support system doesn't seem to work, even with enough legitimacy and +100 opinion, a single county vassal will stop you creating a title because they oppose it. I tested and even if they are your own heir they still object to you creating a title

Still doesn't explain how tribal mechanics work....also considering that description is from 2021, and this had a major overhaul from the ground up in april, I imagine the description isn't entirely accurate anymore either.

Not sure if it's because of a mod conflict but I think I've figured out how this mod works but I've been able to increase my legitimacy but my crown authority hasn't followed suit. Still on level 3 Tribal Crown Authority despite having level 4 Legitimacy which I assume is a malfunction since it doesn't require innovations to increase Tribal Authority as far as I'm aware. Running a lot of mods, including More Bookmarks though so could be due to this, though none as far as I'm aware that change crown authority or legitimacy.

So...It's been a couple years since his first edition of this mod (it only recently being resurrected) and I haven't played with it yet since I couldn't figure out how tribals worked when I downloaded the new version. BUT. From what I remember of the original: This mod added in a submission system to vassals. Your authority will fluctuate based upon the overall submission of said vassals. And then depending on your authority, certain laws may or may not be automatically selected for you.

Now, whether the newer version of this mod still does this...? Not a clue. Like I said I couldn't figure out how to feudalize as tribal so I deactivated it. But if the new version is like the old version, that's what it does. Would be nice to hear from Stik, but for whatever reason he's keeping his silence. I'm not about to be THAT JACKASS who complains about a free mod, so i'ma keep my mouth shut and wait patiently for him to post an explanation. But. Hope that mini-summary helps a little.

Stik, it's great you redid this mod, but you really need to make a description on what has changed or what is new. We won't know what's working as intention or it's a bug without some type of documentation.

@Dallan that's a good suggestion, especially as blocking conversion outright makes the mapmode annoying, since you don't have any visual clue of which county you're allowed to convert, so I might give that a try.
I might still keep restrictions for powerful vassals lands, but loosen them otherwise.
