for me i like to change random things around post-main game since i usually play up until the early-mid 60s, i dont want FDR or anyone like that leading the country by that time so i like to have generic leaders be there as a way for it to not be so much of an eyesore on my brain everytime i'd look at the United States.

Why do you want a generic leader for the USA? That's the part I don't understand at all. The USA has 12 leaders, and if you're modding leaders you could theoretically get whoever you want to lead the USA

For North America the generic portraits, aside from those I already talked about, are mostly unchanged, because in vanilla it's very difficult to get a generic leader like that to pop up. So that's what you're seeing

Is it the non-aligned leader? He is always the same, Carnot Wheeler. He's not a real person so he is given a unique generic of a lesser known leader. There's a few leaders like that with unique generics

For Romania is showing the same guy in every division commander, making every new general you hire the same long haired. Any work around it? I really like this mod, I combine it with sensible portraits. Have tried both and this is the one ruining Romania. Thanks for the work gl

In Argentina, the portrait of Marcelo T de Alvear is not correct! This is the only odd thing I found in this mod, after that, everything is perfect.

Britain had also decolonised their territories and they've turned Communist, yet my African puppets still share leaders with them even though they are different ideology.

I released all French and Spanish territories in Africa as Democratic countries, playing as the Netherlands or more specifically the European Union.

North African countries have hardcoded leaders, so they should mostly be unique. As for mostly everyone else, there are 20+ portraits in the generic pool for Africa in this mod. 6 for Communists, 5 for Democrats, 6 for Fascists, and 9 for Non-Aligned. Which ideology did you release as, and how many countries? The system works poorest when releasing a large amount of countries as one ideology, I built it more for if you're playing as Africa decolonized or are decolonizing as Britain.

I just want to point out that when releasing nations in Africa, it's the same 3 portraits throughout the whole continent. Just a suggestion maybe in the next update add more African leaders. Great mod btw!

In your case, you would then go to SOV, and replace Stalin with your dds file of choice. That's how I started out portrait modding.

I am glad they left Adolf untouched. If he touched Adolf I wouldn't be able to use a different reskin mod on him.

I would like to mention 2 things.

The Stalin reskin feels too gray.

Francisco Franco is shown twice with the only difference is a very small aspect ratio change.

If you know how to override the Stalin reskin with another one then please let me know.

I love the mod, thank you for your hard work. Would it be possible to make Vasyl Vyshyvanyi von Habsburg as the default non-aligned leader for Ukraine? I like having him as the leader of a free Ukraine during my playthroughs but unfortunately he only becomes the leader after a specific focus on the Hungarian tree.

Okay, I get your point, but... I make maps in HOI 4 from scratch and despite all those countries being independent, they still hold those white leaders. What's even more strange is that they have African names.

non-aligned and fascist African countries have a chance of having a white leader, this is for when you play as those countries and puppet African countries, which is the most common way they become released. Communist countries will always have a black leader, and Democratic ones have less white leaders available. It's meant to show colonialism.

I don't like the new portrait style, my favorite styles are the Waking the Tiger and No Step Back Styles. The new 3rd party artists they've been bringing in Arms of Tyranny to now make some high quality portraits, but many are subpar. The pack is a community pack, and I will always choose a good community portrait over a vanilla portrait, because that's the point of the mod.

Got this primarily for Stalins portrait, the default one is awful. Have to say the others look great also.

This mod needs an update since new DLC changed Hitler's portrait and this mod doesn't overwrite that

Konovalets as a democratic leader?! Whose bright idea was that?!

I think Ngô Ðình Diêm for the Republic of Vietnam might need a custom portrait, he just shows up as a generic for me.
