You seem to have gotten your answer :) regarding the range i can take a look to add a max range input to the block :D

I swear someone made a similar mod that placed the type of block behind the placing unit. I wonder if it still works.....?

I have just finished my 3d printer that can print only a custon ship. I spend on it like 4 hours, and now i was scrolling workshop and i saw that.
