I think it gets unlocked after the map is generated so it doesn't interfere

Ok, what I don't understand is how does Inventor's unlocked from the beginning breakthrough tech (Autonomous Hubs) influence all other breakthrough techs. Does it throw off the information from mod like Chaos Theory and Tech Variety game rules?

Bumps the breakthrough count when you use Paradox sponsor.
Removes the first four breakthroughs if you have BB DLC and you don't have my Fix Bugs mod.

Disabled as in not installed. haven't disabled them via game options

If you mean disabled by game rules, then that messes this up for some reason (no idea why), you'd have to manually disable the dlc by deleting or moving the hpk files in the dlc folder (picard.hpk and prunariu.hpk).

Hey, first off I love this mod. However I've been having some difficulties where the breakthroughs on the map are not the ones displayed by the mod. I only use this mod and the ones needed for this to function. It worked fine back in april but not any more and I dont think there has been a proper game update in that time. I have all the DLC, but have disabled B&B and the trains one

unchecking "reuse results" resolved the window title and 0 result issues, but due to alcohol I am fading in cognitive ability at the moment. I'll leave a note for future Tanya on my desktop. Hopefully after some sober analysis, the root issue will be resolved and can be documented to keep other people from facing the problem I did.

I will say this, though, thorough documentation might be in order. I understand how tedious that proposition sounds, considering the vast swath of mods you've published, but the #1 cardinal sin of modding is assuming your users know as much about the backend and coding language as you do. The #2 sin is to say "coding is hard" and use that as an excuse to not put in due diligence, but you seem like somebody who's progressed beyond that part of the Dunning Krieger chart.

I'm off to bed, a note has been left for Sober Tanya, she should be getting back to you some time mid afternoon (MST) on Monday.

I edited that picture I linked below, and added it as a screenshot to the mod. Try unchecking the Reuse Results checkbox.

did it again with only the relevant mods installed (your mods, specifically) and got some interesting results. Initial attempt was giving 0 results consistently, but after backing up to the main menu and trying again with "metals3" as the initial search term, then plucking "blankbigterracecmix_08" from the results and replacing the initial search term with it, I had 377 results.

I also have no idea why it's saying "May 9, 2022" at the top of the log. Today is August 4th, 2024,and I'm looking at my taskbar right now and my system clock is indeed up to date, 8/4/2024.

Nearest that my rum-addled brain can come up with is maybe this is all because it's not properly wiping input fields after each query?

I noticed an oddity in-game.
after the first search (dry farming) which only produced 2 results, I copied the map pregen definition directly into a secondary input box and it did indeed produce the map in question, however when I then emptied that input box and replaced the first input box with something generic (meteors1 on first attempt, dust_devils2 on second attempt) even though I had closed the results box, the re-opened results boxes still showed the map pregen name in their title bar.

Full disclosure, this is my last day of weekend before work, so I am drinking right now, but I'll do what I can to help with this since I have nothing other than youtube videos planned for the evening.

I'll boot the game, search some random stuff on a new game, then paste the log, after that I'll kill any mods that I think may be interfering and repeat the process. I have like 50 mods so at the very least we have a suspect list.

Huh. Gotta be another mod interfering somehow.

I tried prompts very similar to what you just used and it always generated 0 sized lists.

If I can find the time, I may sift my modlists and see if I can fish out the one causing it so you can add it as a known conflict for the mod description.

That wasn't producing results. I tried plaintext, with and without caps, with and without underscores replacing spaces, and with and without spaces entirely. Searching for hazard and resources worked just fine, so the mod was installed and functioning, but tech and map type kept producing 0 results, even with all other filters vacant.

I ended up being forced to use a workaround, exporting a list to notepad++ then using search to pluck proper candidates and refining the resource and hazard filters to narrow them down before simply punching in the desired coordinates manually.

What would be the command to enter into that when searching only for maps of a specific type or maps which have a specific tech that can be acquired.

The algorithm, I think, needs optimization. I add another filter to find 5 records in a small 150 records selection. But, judging by the delay, it works again with the full table.

If you right-click an entry it'll give you that list you can see in the preview image. That'll give you most of it, as for the breakthroughs you can see them in one of the csv files here: https://github.com/ChoGGi/SurvivingMars_CheatMods/tree/master/Map%20Locations

Both those links give errors, but I changed the lang and yep same issue.

The code is generated by my library mod, so I'll need to fix that. It just got another takedown report today on paradox :) I'll wait till mods restore it before uploading.

Maybe the problem is that it is translated automacally and in German east is Ost.

There is a bug. The coordinates of east are always shown as "O" (German version) so the game says they don´t exist. Right would be "e" for east.

Hi, the mod is great, but when I enter what I'm looking for and what to ignore, unfortunately it doesn't show me anything, even though I know the maps are there, it worked before, and now it doesn't, unfortunately
