Thank you! I just need to find the time to alter the existing recipes, as these are the old version from before the updates from game dev. Hopefully people playing on previous versions of the game can also use updated recipes without issue.
Please check out my Lone Wanderer's Saving Grace as well.
Happy Surviving!
Replace knives with [Recipe.GetItemTypes.SharpKnife];
Replace hammers with [Recipe.GetItemTypes.Hammer];
Replace eggs and wild eggs with [Recipe.GetItemTypes.Egg];
Replace spoon and fork with Spatula/[Recipe.GetItemTypes.Spoon]/[Recipe.GetItemTypes.Fork];
Some recipes like making tofu from dried beans and making berry jam can be shortened into a single recipe to avoid clutter.
Also I believe you can use OnCreate:Recipe.OnCreate.OpenCannedFood to get a jar back as by-product.
Yes they get used as containers as Sourdough Yeast is not the same as dried yeast. I can look into making dried yeast and add a recipe in. But sourdough yeast will be consuming the jars, as the game does not like when you get 2 items from 1 recipe.
My recipe include making sugar from honey already, also you can make plastic bags from garbage bag if you have my other mod Lone Wanderer's Saving Grace.
In reality not all recipes for food you can replace sugar with honey, it would depend on the recipe.
Also if you have an actual recipe to suggest, feel free to post in "Potential Vanilla Future Ideas" and I can put those in. The game has its own limitations but is being expanded. This mod will evolve along side the vanilla game.
I prefer the ability to make raw resources from recycling rather than just get a mod that puts bulk sugar in the game. (I use jarring a lot.)
Ugh I can't wait to get cows and chickens.
Thank you!
There is not really a way to modify that without messing with the lua files or make evolved recipes to modify the outcome. which would modify the base game. I am not going to do that with this mod, as I want to keep it vanilla friendly. The minced meat is an item with a standard value in game... However if you would like you can feel free to modify my recipes for your own use :).
Happy surviving!
Could you let me know please, is it possible to tweak the "mince meat" recipe in such a way that it requires a certain amount of meat units, but not a whole piece of any meat? I just mean, I can mince either all 3 kgs of rabbit meat or just a tiny 30 grams leftover of it, and in both cases I will receive 300 grams of ground meat.
It would be compatible with most of the mods out there as this mod does not change lua files from vanilla game. Only the mods that changes those files would risk being incompatible with each other.
I will always recommend doing a save file before you install any new mods just in case.
Thank you for the response! I’ll enable it right away :D
The mod already have 2 recipes for making cheese, I have added 4 further recipes for making cheese. Enjoy!
The sealing can recipe is in my other mod "Lone Wanderer's Saving Grace" I was trying to keep this mod to be cooking related only
I have recently stumbled upon a problem, that worries me. When I for example prepare tomatoes for canning, I cant seem to find recipe that allows me to actually seal the can and thus preserve the contents of the can. (P.S, I have Craft Helper installed)
Thank you for your kind words :D
I did a quick test and both recipes for crafting cereal works for me... Please make sure you have enough unit of sugar/brown sugar and candied fruit slices, and enough sunflower seeds in your inventory while crafting, or it may cause a glitch.
Thank you so much :) I will continue to update this mod along with vanilla updates. Please let me know if you have any recipe suggestions. Happy surviving!
There is problem that I can't make cereal even I have all of ingredients.
Please let me know if you have informations to know.(mod lists, dump?)
Thanks,
No there is no books for these recipes, they are unlocked by cooking skills which is tied into vanilla game. This mod far as I know does not conflict with any other mods. It only adds recipes and does not change lua settings.
Is there a conflict with another mod ?
There's a bug where the map doesn't open when you use it with your mode.
The new update is now out and ready to be enjoyed. Happy surviving!
You will always have the options to play with or without mods, as those are free to anyone to add or remove.
Mods break from time to time, even the game itself breaks from time to time. Relax and take a deep breath! You will be okay.
Yes I still have other things planned for the mod expansion! :) I have not really been playing recently so I am just trying to catch up on some recipes that could be in the game. Had to revert, but will try to figure out which one of those new ones broke the game...
'Add recipe to Render Oil/ butter from Lard.
Added recipes for making Flour from Black Beans, White Beans, Kidney Beans, Lentils, Splitpeas, Chick Peas and Acorns.'
Butter--!!! Flour!!!
..
Be strong, my friend.
I'm always rooting for you
Sorry I am trying to update but the file is broken, I needed to revert however it did not work either
give me a minute to find out what is happening
Yes of course you can use the mod as long as you credit me. Make changes if you would like, but this mod is not made for profit so please do not do any re-sale. Hope you enjoy the mod and I am still in the process of updating it. So new recipes will come out every so often and please note that if you keep up with the steam version it may replace the coding changes you have made. So please always save your own copy.
This would include you extending your creative license to us, allowing our mod team to add/edit/use your mod to suit our server. As such we would not publish our edits to the workshop. We will include credit to you as the original creator of the mod, of course.
If this is agreeable to you or would like to discuss this further, please let us know. Thank you for all your effort.
Kai, Day’s End Mod Team
Hey I do have codes for sealing the cans, it is in my other mod "Lone Wanderer's Saving Grace" under the welding category.
You might have to verify game files and reload the mods.
No, this mod does not change how vanilla game works. Being able to place stirfry in bowls is related to LUA files, there might be mods out there which allow you to do that but this mod will not.
Hope this helps.
For sure that is a good idea :) I have been wanting to add it in but have been busy for the past few month. I can add it in tomorrow!
The ability to put ice cream on a cone has been added as an update, but there aren't as many places where you can get the cone than you think.
Seems like the item id is still the same, and I have not changed anything. So it should work in theory.
If anyone else is having the same issue, please let me know.
